How do people know whether their interview is waived even before they get a DM?

I am asking this because people have mentioned Interview as waived in their profile.
Just curious to know if my interview is waived..

Finally by god's grace I got passport request from chc ndvo
As I am in Toronto so I will be visiting New Delhi to submit my passport.

So I am looking for the best option to submit passport among the below
experts opinions are welcome

Can I personally go to visa office aNd submit the passport??
If not then can I personally go and drop the passport at the mailing address 7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri Post box 5209

If not then which is the best courier company should I use in delhi to send my passport.

Also please share what's the current processing time for stamping visa
Wishing everyone all the best to everyone in their journey for PR

The best idea is to submit thru VFS. Else blue dart or DTDC are also options. But VFS, is best and recommanded by CIC too.

Hi Forum Members, I would really appreciate if someone can reply to my query or may be share any similar experience which they might have ....thank you.

I need some inputs/help on my situation based on your experience. We got the request for medical, Landing fees and PP submission (all in one letteR) on 24 Sept 2013. We got our medical done on 1 October and submitted the same along with PP and Landing fees on 21 October 2013 to the NDVO via VFS. When I checked on last friday there was a new status line stating that "Medical have been received" but since then I am not able to login to ECAS with my ClientID/File number. Not sure if this is just me or someone else is having the same issue. Also not sure if this means something positive or negative.

Can anyone share his/her experience regarding the similar situation??

Any inputs will be of help.

I am in the same boat as you are and have traveled 3 weeks back to India from Canada to submit my passports to the consulate. I used VFS New Delhi services to submit my passports along with other requested information. As Shef mentioned, VFS is the best way to submit the passports and you will be also be sure of its delivery to the consulate as they send you SMS when your passport is received at the consulate. The pain is the wait period as VFS has no information how long the CHC will return your passport back and you cant do anything except for praying and waiting. If you are on job in Canada, come prepared for at least 4-5 weeks wait time. By God's grace you might get the stamping done sooner but just come prepared.

Am also worried about the time span for visa stamping. Praying to God that it should not exceed 4 weeks. As first time when they requested for PR and i requested CHC NDVO to issue separate PR once final stage is reached. So praying, processing for visa stamping to be not more than 3-4 weeks.

When you submit via VFS you have to pay Rs 400 per passport to them as VFS processing fees....at that time they will ask you whether you want the passports to be mailed to you by courier or you will collect it personally. In my case I opted for personal pickup as that will reduce sometime of mail transit. The thing is that VFS is very promt in sending SMS when the passport is sent to CHC, when the passport is received by CHC and when the passport is available for pick-up at VFS after stamping. I have dealt with VFS in past for Canada visit visa (not PR) and they keep the applicant informed of every step.

Regarding the time frame which CHC will take, the only thing you can do is pray. In my case, last week I was seeing the "Medical Received" line in ECAS and since then ECAS is not even recognizing me with the details I use to enter and check my status. Not sure what happening

Got call from my consultant office today that they received passports with STAMPED VISA...My wife is going tomorrow to collect PP. I still feel lyk dreaming...

Are they making these errors purposefully?. Atleast 10 of the people tho received copr last month had errors on them

Hi Satinder1981,

At the outset, Congratulations on getting the Visa and COPR.

For reaching CHC, Shantipath, you can take the Metro from New Delhi Railway Station to Green Park Metro. From there, you can take an Auto Rickshaw - the Rickshaw should cost you around INR 80/-

It is advisable to go early - try to reach by 09:00 HRS IST. You have not mentioned the nature of the error. Luck favoring you, the corrections could be done in as less as 1 Hour. Else, they will ask you to come later (generally after 15:00 HRS IST) on the same day to collect the corrected Documents.
