Ive submitted my passport on the 21st of July. I work overseas & am here on vacation. Would love to get back to my job. Any idea as to how long the take to return the passport & would it be possible to speed up the process under this circumstance.

Congratulations for getting medicals and passport request. Many others who have applied before u are waiting. After sending the passports, it normally takes 45 days to get the visa stamped passports back. Now a days nothing is predictable though. U can send them a case specific enquiry

Yes. I am well aware that I have been lucky. even though I've had to wait a long time there are others who have had worse luck.

I did mail them my emploment letter along with my passport & have to just cross my fingers & hope they consider it. Coz else I have to stay unemployed for the period they hold my passport & risk losing my not so bad job.

I know that the time frame they give is 45 days but considering all the posts & the backlog they always have I highly doubt that I'll get my passport anytime soon. :(

Congratulations Wheronica, hope you receive ur stamped passport soon...

Need some info related to your case, pls help

Your NOC
Overall Points claimed
IELTS Score
Did you get any verification call either directly or to your office
Do you have any points for adaptability - any family members in Canada
Do you have any international travel history
How did u receive the MR, PPR thru email or physical mail

Just trying to analyse which factors could influence the processing....

Thanks.

I've applied for a skilled immigrant visa. My travel history is pretty extensive. I've lived in the U.A.E, U.K & am a sea farer now & posses a U.S. --- C1 D visa. My Ielts scores were somewhere around 9. Overall points were just above the minimum requirement. I do not have any family members in Canada.

I did my process through an agent which I wouldn't recommend at all. They absolutely didn't care to submit my application or follow up on its progress. I was unable to view my application status on the cic website & sent a mail to them regarding the same & then after a couple of months I could view my status & thankfully received the letter for medicals. Since i have an appointed representative, all intimation comes through them.

I sent this email to both the london & delhi address out of desperation. London replied in about 4 days while dehli took over a month to reply.

Thanks for your quick response.....

I guess as some seniors were analyzing might be becoz of your IELTS score ur file was processed quick... just a guess...

again wat was your NOC code ?

Hello Sunny Paaji,

Have you got the same file no. written on your medical request letter as provided to you originally. B,coz on mine it was different file number and I noticed it after sending the medicals, PP and drafts etc. Although I have written a separate letter to NDVO regarding the change in file number on medical request letter but didn't get any reply even after 30 days that's why I am worried. Although my DD was en cashed on 18 july but don't know whether they have associated my DD with my original file number or with the file number which they had written on medical letter.
