I say this with apologies to everyone who is looking for encouragement, but seriously, I have become chronically depressed. It's close to 5 months now since medicals.

I recently got New Zealand PR which was my plan B. It is strange that while I was quite casual about that one, it happened easily within 9 months, and this Canadian one which is important because my whole family is there, is not happening. NZ has given me six months to get my PR visa stamped. I am hoping the Canada PR comes before that.

I recently got New Zealand PR which was my plan B. It is strange that while I was quite casual about that one, it happened easily within 9 months, and this Canadian one which is important because my whole family is there, is not happening. NZ has given me six months to get my PR visa stamped. I am hoping the Canada PR comes before that.

Me too tried to have a backup plan, but for the same country. i.e Canada.....Last year. I applied for PNP-Alberta programe, which was again supposed to be completed in 8-10 months max...
But they delayed PNP too.....and meanwhile when I was just going to apply after job offer from canada in PNP program, my medical came in FSW1....

Although, paid $5000/- out of @18000/- for PNP, And now have put it on hold, till finalizing of FSW, But still happy, that Inshallah soon I'll be flying...

i did meds in end of march2012 and sent add docs with rprf to lvo on 2april2012.acc to tcs tracking my meds delivered on 9april and add docs on 11april.
on 25june i made a CSE requesting acknowledgement for meds and add docs.they gave strange reply on 3july(almost 3months after recving add docs)"though i can confirm that we have received ur medical results,we have not yet received the add documents requested".

i was astonished and thought that they had misplaced my add docs and rprf.i sent them the scanned copy of draft for rprf and online tcs tracking confirmation signed by bepoke.then very painful waiting for 16days and the reply came(on 19july) which i mentioned earlier and u asking about.it was
"i can confirm that we have received the documents u have submitted and your file is currently undergoing routine background checks".

that gave me a sence of relief.
dont know whether they had actually lost my mail and found it after my email or it wasnt lost and was there but for some unknown reason they didnt confirm its receiving.dont know.i asked qorax and he commented that the mail wasnt lost,it was just in process or whatever.he also assured that my security checks had initiated after they recved my meds results on 9april.

anyways whatever was the real situation,at last they confirmed the receving and i got relax.

That must have been excruciating for you! I think they must have placed your documents in the wrong VOs pile and after you wrote to them, they fixed the error. The good thing is, your CSE made them rectify the error, so I think that was very lucky in your case. Don't worry now since everything is sorted out. These background checks are grinding us to the ground. Hope to hear good things soon.
