Actually I was tired of reading, Pakistan forum and Pakistan applicants waiting for ppr forum....as their are many more new members...So thought to start another topic exclusively for MI -1 ....waiting for ppr

hahahaha....dont worry bro....ALLAH apko aur subko safe rakhay from dengue.....but u r right....i am worried about landing in winter in canada with a small child....its very tough season time to land there....freezing cold......its my fear

And yes the climate change for small children, will be very tough....my son is will be 4 in sep....
I was discussing with my uncle in calgary, the very same point.....he was also, saying if you can delay ur landing by summers that will b great...but I cant...as my med were issued in feb 2012, n will expire in feb 2013....

He was also saying that rent in calgary has also start rising...as more n more people are flying in...but still there are more jobs in calgary and wage rate is also better in their....

Although my 1st blood relatives, lives in Vancouver, calgary, saskaton, toronto....but I am planning to move to calgary....

i agree that we cannt delay once get the visa....first reason is that anything adverse can happen(some says is se pehlay k koi war start ho jae and hamaray airports seal ho jain )
second reason is what u already mentioned...mine meds also will expire in march2013....so we can never delay flying if all goes well...
as far as job season is concerned i am not much worried coz initially we will have to do survival jobs....i think these jobs shudnt have much issue ...i might b wrong....

I do feel the pain badly..and paid a heavy price for the turth....but no regrets....the master planner (Allah) must have thought something even good for the sacrifices....

Story behind name of samsung94.....

I worked in dubai in a multinational for couple of years,,,In Pakistan was again in a very well reputed multinational....

but unfortunatly, was fired due to down sizing.....

And then had couple of interviews with Samsung International....

Finally had to fly again for final interview to dubai...The last question before issuing the offer letter, the big shot asked....

Question: Mr. Khalid we were looking for an honest, and comitted guy like you, I hope you will stay with us for a long period....will you be?

Answer: Well Mr. XXX Ill be with Samsung international, till my immigration finalizes, which is soon to be....

And then Mr. xxx replied....Ohhhh.....aaaa...mmmm ok. Before issuing you an offer letter today, let me discuss the same with the board...


And later I received a letter that, due to your unavailability in near future, coz of immigration, we are sorry.......bla bla bla.....

And this happened in january 2011...

And still am in Pakistan and not in samsung......

To remeber the pain n wait n sacrifices for this long immigration process....I choosed my name SAMSUNG..........

And at that time I had purchased, an SUV which was my dream, its registration no was 94.....I sold that because, Samsung offered me a company car...but today....no samsung...no 94....

These were the two things, which hit me so had, that I cant explain...

LOL~ You just mentioned my fears in your post yaar.. I am planning to land in September inshahAllah, n many things are coming into my mind, similar to yours.. Khair Dengue sey bachney k liye to main MOSPEL use kar hee raha hoon
About World ends in Dec-2012.. I wish you may come to Canada before that, n you will see how the Canadians will react on that day (however i doubt in this world ends theory)

  It is a nice initiation by SamSung94.... At least now most of the MI-1 “wait victim” is on one page.
  And it's amazing that everyone has facing almost same circumstance because of this unpredictable wait timeline
  
  1) Same Questions from relatives “ Canada ka keya Howa”

2) Most of us had to get our preschooler admit with huge amount of admission fee and other school expenses (although we are dreaming that our child will start his/her schooling in some Canadian school ) I got my doll admitted recently for pre-school too
3) Same fear to land in winter as we are habitual of hot temperature with a sweet gift of “Load Shedding”
4 )Same apprehension that 2013 is almost near then how can CIC complete all their backlog with such a slow speed
5 ) Most of us are bound to continue with their unfavorable job here in Pakistan and worse case for those who has told their canada dream to their bosses

We are on same boat with same concerns
I hope we get some good news this August ( InshaAllah )

I had to tell my boss and his boss as well, since I wanted to leave in good standing, I work for a major Telecom. Scenario is that I will have to resign soon as I need to put my replacement before new projects start. So I am so much stuck in the situation right now that you can not believe. :-[
