MI-1 Pakistani applicants medical completed, waiting for PPR1 - PPR2

LOL~.. so true mate.. been answering these questions since 2009. Still, i aint telling anyone that i got VISA now. will let them know just few days before departure from PK inshahAllah. (People usually suggest me that dont tell everyone when you got VISA.. strange)

I dont know whats d myth in it by not telling.....the only reason I understand, is jealousy/bori nazar...which is most common in sub-continent...

I was so happy on receiving my medicals, that I told everyone, that I have received meds, to shut their mouths.....trick worked for 2 weeks, and then same teasing question, Aapka canada ka kiya buna...aub toh medical b kur liya hay..PPR nai aai....aaani b hay ya nai....Allah behter kuray ga.....

Now desperately waiting for PPR1 to shut d mouths again...but thinking not to tell about ppr2, and only disclose a week before leaving for Canada..

Same here bro....But finally I have decided not to pay any other fee to schools etc....reason was, if God has shown us this day (Medical Done n waiting for PPR), then this means to me, that Inshallah soon God will show us, the path which He is setting for us...

I have withdrwan my children from the school immediately after getting PPR1, and yes during last 3 years hated this question from friends and relatives, canada kahan tuk pohancha? anyhow now I see a light at the end of this 3 years long tunnel.
Alhamdolillah I feel very lucky to get PPR1 so early after medicals being MI-1.

Same here ...litreley each passing minute is increasing agony and pain

from 1 aug my childrens new session starting and we are so confused either to pay school or not because of books, uniforms , bags 4 months fees etc

Same here, huge cost which could be put to better use. Even my employer is asking me key kia scene hay tumahara since my Boss knows that I will leave soon.

i applied in dec2009.thought it would hardly take a year to get visa. i changed all my plans regarding professional career etc.
meds done in march2012.add docs,RPRF received at LVO april2012.i check my email 20times a day.(plz dont laugh at me.hope u all do almost the same)

Same here I compromised on my career as well, I stuck in a job that I never wanted to join but did to just get by and now its 2 yrs since I am here. I am up neck with it, I have even told my boss that I will leave soon so that he does not think for a second that I am not going to go anywhere (which is the typical corporate mentality).

Absolutely Right.. that is because of buri nazar etc.. however, in cities like Karachi, its unsafe to tell people you are going to immigrate. You come on target too.. (Ive heard cases of extortion/kidnappings of immigrant's children in last years)

Exactly.. I got PPR-1 in my hands on 7th May 2012 and I had withdrawn my child from his school on 25th May 2012.

Seriously thinking, why again LVO is slow in issuing PPR for the past 1 week...although the minister has clearly said that they will speed up the process to clear backlog while pausing the new applications for six months.....

Its already August...that means 5 months to go for 2013....and mean while 8 days they are off as weekend in a month, and then chrismes holidays....roughly they will be off for 2 months from now onwards till 2013....will they be able to clear the backlog in approx 3 months time.....???

As I have applied through consultant, so am waiting for the call....every time the cell rings...Dil taiz hojata hay, kay call agai...magar koi aur hota hay....aur pochta hay....appka canada ka kiya buna....

OMG........one of my colleague said yesterday"aap ne jis jahaz par jana hay lagta hay uskay tyres lag rahay hain...paint ho raha hay"

i also noticed that i avoid such pple who ask this question....
my day starts with 9am in london and ends when its 5pm there.....

I worked in dubai in a multinational for couple of years,,,In Pakistan was again in a very well reputed multinational....

but unfortunatly, was fired due to down sizing.....

And then had couple of interviews with Samsung International....

Finally had to fly again for final interview to dubai...The last question before issuing the offer letter, the big shot asked....

Question: Mr. Khalid we were looking for an honest, and comitted guy like you, I hope you will stay with us for a long period....will you be?

Answer: Well Mr. XXX Ill be with Samsung international, till my immigration finalizes, which is soon to be....

And then Mr. xxx replied....Ohhhh.....aaaa...mmmm ok. Before issuing you an offer letter today, let me discuss the same with the board...


And later I received a letter that, due to your unavailability in near future, coz of immigration, we are sorry.......bla bla bla.....

And this happened in january 2011...

And still am in Pakistan and not in samsung......

To remeber the pain n wait n sacrifices for this long immigration process....I choosed my name SAMSUNG..........

And at that time I had purchased, an SUV which was my dream, its registration no was 94.....I sold that because, Samsung offered me a company car...but today....no samsung...no 94....

These were the two things, which hit me so had, that I cant explain...

you have started a good thread...discussing and sharing our emotions and feelings regarding canada immigration....expressing the anxiety to the group who are going thru the same anxiety is the best way to relieve it to a great extent...its a group therapy i knw as a doctor....it works

Mate.. its indeed a very sad story of your professional life.. for this canadian immigration, we have sacrificed so much. I really have no words to condole right now. I have suffered very much either, but picture of your side is way darker than mine.. may Allah bless you with happiness n great success in near future so you can forget these painful years of long wait.

I do feel the pain badly..and paid a heavy price for the turth....but no regrets....the master planner (Allah) must have thought something even good for the sacrifices....

I agree with u bro...he is an honest person and told the truth...

but you r right...we r not supposed to be that much facts revealing during a job interview....

i also have suffered a lot with my career point....infact all of us....i have completed my postgratuate training in medicine but instead of persuing it further i am waiting for visa and preparing for canada medical license exams etc....its very tough to be in two boats at the same time....
