Mexico is overworked that's the problem and the closing of Cuba Embassy at Havana has cause even more troubles. They manage too many countries. And they are backlogged a lot from pasted years already , so this + covid, let's say the 2020 wasn't a party for them.I agree and I’m definitely not saying application with kids should be faster but 17 months and little update? I don’t have kids but I can only imagine it’s way worst than being separated from your spouse only. I get this is not normal times with covid but from reading past posts seems Mexico is always over the 1 yr period. Again I’m assuming here because I’m not sure if those applications from back then have issues.
They should close the program for 6 months on SPR (or redirect some apps to another vo at least) to get in touch and finishing the ones that are there waiting for months and months. but Canada will never do that for sure,. Is what the system would need at the moment
Instead they welcome all others new applications and put them in the queue which add even more work to Mexico's office.
My life been on suspend for 19months around before we got the file completed and arrival confirmed. Heard that Mexico have an average of 15-16 months around to be realistic. Obviously some exemptions may apply, that said i hope everyone can put this story behind them as soon as possible cause yes mentally and physiologically it's damaging i wasn't prepared for such battle.
Now i'm glad to be able to live that life , my wife is integrating to the society of Quebec and started learning french with MIFI.
