Also it’s better not to get asked to early on for medicals . We did ours in early January , interview next week ..... and if they don’t extend those medicals , looks like we have to pay yet again because no way passports will be back before those baby’s expire

The fun of this business, taking their time to process but making us do all super fast to be sure the ones penalized is us at the end if they take more than 12 months... "oh well i guess you gonna have to redo it..."

They can extend medicals ?? as far as i know it's valid 12 months and that's all whatever happen

Good luck ! Our interview is next week

Yikes, my wife's US deportation and admission refusal showed up on her FBI card. Could be a very bumpy road for us going forward. Here's hoping Canada sees that we are in love and are doing things properly this time. Fingers crossed

Sorry to all that have been waiting for over a year. Looking through the tracker, it seems that 2019 applicants have only been transferred to Mexico starting in October, regardless of which month they applied. This seems to indicate that Mexico load was lightened for many months so they could deal with the massive backlog. The fact that they are now once again sending applications there is a good sign to me and hopefully means much of the backlog has been dealt with and the workload between processing centres has been better balanced. I am cautiously optimistic that most applicants from 2019 and onwards will be processed within 12 months, even from the Mexico VO. Good luck to all!
