Hey group !!

Yesterday I call the PGR, because I already email the embassy of Canada in Mexico twise. The PGR answer was “we take 15 days MAX to give a “CARTE DE ANTECEDENTES REGÍSTRALES” after that is embassy business... so maybe they take time to pick them up and translate it ... perhaps ? So right now I share my timeline.

IRCC REQUEST OF PCC————Jan 25
Send fingerprints to Mexico ———Jan 28
Embassy in Mexico received——— Jan 29
Send to the PGR————————Feb 22
Send to IRCC ———————still waiting
Total days since they receive the fingerprints 64 days !!!!!!

Just got a request for updated schedule A from Mexico which is great..... The strange part is they are asking for Divorce papers for my husband who has never been married to his son's mother? I suppose I will just write a letter of explanation and pray hahaha
Any other advice? he has never been married, such a strange request

i am an american in a common law relationship with a canadian, living in mexico. we have a daughter who is already a canadian (and american) citizen and are applying under the family class for PR. i’m overwhemled with it all - been working on application and will be ready to submit it in the next week. was wondering how long these circumstances usually take? i’d love to be moved by spring 2020 so our daughter can maybe make some friends before school starts in the fall. how long do we have to move once approved

I called CIC today and they told me my file will most likely go to Mexico but also stated my file could be completed in Sydney if the agent reviewing my file feels it straight forward (I don’t really believe that) but I have not heard anything since medical passed March 6. I hope yours goes fast. Best of luck

Bank on 1 year if processed in mexico. Being american it could be faster however due to you living in mexico i dont know. Ensure if youve been there more than 6 months you provide the police certificate for mexico, the states as well as any other country you lived in for 6 months or more since the age of 18

Honestly, my humble opinion says this case does sound complex due to the duel citizenship of the child and living in Mexico part - as well as being common law. OP admits it is overwhelming and I can only imagine!! They have a heavy burden of proof here + likely organizing A LOT for this one due to the current living arrangement in Mexico. I would say anywhere from 13-24 months to completely process this one. Just a guess and hopefully it happens sooner for you. I wish you guys ALL the best.

that is concerning... they had asked us to mail a copy of our marriage certificate. ( even though it was with the original application package that was submitted) That was in January 2019 and have not heard anything since.

Just wondering is this the email below
to request notes on your file? if so what do you send.. an email to this address with your application number asking for an update/status on your file

IRCC.ATIP-AIPRP.IRCC@cic.gc.ca
The slowest one Mexico.
Very unfortunate that although I am Brazilian, my app was sent to Mexico.

we are from Barbados and our file went to Mexico as well

Im not concerned at all about it. Our app clearly indicates either of us have been married. Mexico VO is lazy haha. I provided a letter and everything seems fine
Yes of course we included our marriage certificate with the app. They are from what i can see just making sure

We got the same thing. For me and my husband. Neither of us ever married. We emailed a letter of explanation and it was accepted
