Hi all – I’ve been offline for a bit (honestly, just frustrated about not hearing anything and needing a break after a year of monitoring ugh!). Has anyone from the Mexico Visa Office heard that they are getting an interview recently?

Apparently we're in the interview queue, but it hasn’t been scheduled yet.

Thanks!

Are you from Mexico? if so have they requested your PGR yet ?

My husband is Dominican. When he received an email stating that additional documents requested were received it also indicated that “you are in the queue for interview”.

That was in November and it’s the last communication we’ve received.

Its best to order your GCMS notes to figure out the reason for the interview and other information .

doesn't the ordering of the GCMS notes delay the process as they have to take your file out of the queue? Or that's what I've been told from my lawyer. Can you please help me to understand that?

I was under that same impression, so I avoided doing so until now.

But the notes are now on order. 31 calendar day wait according to the site. Unreal.

It doesn't delay the process and they don't take your physical file from queue , the Notes are Already in the Government Global systems and ar generated to you by a different Government agency .

I'm worried that your lawyer is not aware of this .

you can order your noted directly without the need of your lawyer's help .

vzla177,

Thanks for responding, I guess I'll be posting here like everyone else. Feel like a family forum here hehe :D.

I'm not sure if my application is the newest one or not. I basically just went to this page(below)

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

Followed the basic instructions and download each pdf form and filled in as much as possible. Does someone happen to know the difference between the old and new applications? Each PDF I downloaded have dates assigned to them. For example I see December 2016 in some of the forms but I also see forms dated from 2013 to 2015. Any clue?

For Sponsor:

Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344) July 2016
Sponsorship Evaluation and Relationship Questionnaire (IMM 5532) December 2016
Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] September 2015

For principal applicant:

Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] (PDF, 496.24 KB) December 2016
Additional Dependants/Declaration [IMM 0008DEP] (PDF, 424.19 KB) August 2014
Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] (PDF, 570.00 KB) September 2013
Schedule A – Background/Declaration [IMM 5669] (PDF, 390.66 KB) December 2016
Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] (PDF, 648.31 KB) September 2015

THanks for this clarification, Tanmex.

OK. Thanks very much for the information. I'll try to order them. I have been waiting for over 6 months and I know it can take longer. So I'd love to know how the process is going so far.

Not really. It can even force visa officers to look at your file again and provide any updates.
