Hi there based on your timeline why did it take so long ti get your passport back.?

Honestly I have no idea. Sent it June 28 they stamped the visa on July 28 and sent it back August 9th. After that the delay was with VFS Global.

Thank you! I added info. Hopefully I did it correctly. I fixed medical date because I provided
Wrong info. Realized now when I looked at it. Tried to add info to my profile but couldn't do it! Still learning!

It looks fine! Thanks for adding it! ;D

Make 10 posts on here and you can then fill in your profile! ;)

Congratulations Labbadulc!!

That's a great timeline! Well done! I've added your passport request date to your timeline on the Mexico timeline spreadsheet. Please keep us updated on the date you send the passport in, the date MCVO receives it and the date you get it back, and finally the date your husband lands!

Thanks!

PGR report (Constancia de Datos Registrales) applies only to Mexican applicants. Other countries processed by the MCVO submit police clearances up front as far as I know.

Congratulations Labbadulc!!! Not bad at all...... things are now moving faster to reunite families than before. A lot of changes have been made since Justin Trudeau became Canada's PM!

I don't want to get into a political debate on here but average processing time for the applicants we have on our timeline spreadsheet over the last 5 years is 305 days, from the date application received to date passport was returned stamped to applicant. Labbadulc's application is at 300 days now and they still have to wait to get the stamped passport back which is an average of about 15 days, potentially more between DR and Mexico.

I don't think that Justin has anything to do with a perceived improvement (or not) in processing times and it's more to do with the substance of Labbdulc's application.

Here's hoping he "really" does something tangible and substantial to unite families and it not just be political rhetoric. Personally I doubt that they will change the processes/eligibilty/security/criminality, etc substantially, perhaps only adding employees to improve processing times.

Complete, accurate and detailed applications are the best way to achieve shorter processing times.

Just my 2 cents.

Speedy processing Everyone!

You should get it soon. My delay seems to be an isolated situation. then u add the whole complexity of VFS
