They didn't specify what they wanted they just quoted a part of the immigration policy and said we had 60 days to submit further documentation to support our application.
We sent in more pictures, resubmitted leases, insurance, bank info, and submitted letters from family and friends as we didn't do that the first time.
It seemed to work :)

Wow. Excellent news! You must be so happy it's almost over.

I have never heard of anyone doing PR visa that has had to send proof of a flight. They will give you a landing date in the COPR and you book your flight to arrive sometime before the landing date.

The prepaid airway bill I presume is the prepaid courier airway bill that you should send with your passport so they can use it to send you back your passport asap. You will need to set up an account with Fedex so that you can send them the prepaid airway bill. Highly recommended that you do this!

Thanks for the help, yay the end is near :)

Fantastic news, we got passport request today, I couldn't be happier :)
We got a request for additional evidence of common law relationship on June 29th, ARC request on July 10th and Passport Request today, July 23rd.

Question:

Do you have to send in proof of a flight to Canada?
What is a Prepaid Airway Bill?

Good luck to everyone else waiting to be reunited with your loved one. It seems that once they start actually processing the file it moves very quickly:)

Congrats Playa!!! Yay!!! Super good news!!
Your husband will receive passport back approximately one weekl after you send it to VO. So yes, you guy are super close to the end!
Glad to see things moving fast in the Mexico office and very glad to see the ARC´s are processed quickly too.
Try to set up an account with Fedex with a credit card, write this account number down, when you go to the fedex office ask them for an extra envelope and a guide to fill out, write the number of your account on this guide on the part where it says payment, select the option that indicates whatever cost must be charged to that account, and placethis guide on the envelope, you will send passport and this extra envelope that VO will use to send your documents back. They will not pay for it and will not send it unless it is clear that it is either already paid for or that it will be charged to some account.
Then you will receive Passport and COPR!!!
That´s it!!!
Congrats again for you and Hubby!!!
Cheers :)

We are December 2014 applicants, we've received our AOR2 from MCVO on July 20, 2015. ECAS has been updated to 'in process'.

Wonderful news Congratulations!

I have updated the spreadsheet. 135 days for CANANICA from SA to AOR2!

Hopefully things will move along quickly for you from here... and that there will be no additional document requests outside of the normal, no interview... straight to PPR!! :P

Fast Processing...Marc

ps CANANICA - Are you in Canada with your PR Applicant spouse?

Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I received my PPR! ja ja ja ja I am so excited!!!! Just now guys!!! My visa will expire on October 17th, so that means that I have to be in Canada around september! SO HAPPYYYYYYYY

Hello everybody :D

I follow this great forum for quite a while now.
I´m a permanent resident since 2010 and am married to a Mexican since 2013. She used to live in the States.
We filed our application Aug. 2014. It took over a year to gather all the documents
and support letters from families and friends.
We are not familiar with all the short cuts you guys use but I´m pretty sure we received the AOR1/2. On Aug. 20 we received an email saying
that CIC received the application and on Oct. 2nd that I´m approved for sponsorship.
We provided every single document up front and my wife did the medical stuff as well.
Unfortunately CIC rejected the FBI background check so we had to do it again.
US authorities were everything but helpful and it took over 6 month to get a new one which CIC finally accepted. YAY!!!
My wife was invited for an interview on March 12, 2015. We both flew to Mexico City to attend.
It went pretty great and the officer was really nice and actually positive about our application (verbally).

June 29th, 2015 we got the email that they received the last documents and that our application is in queue for review.
Last week my wife got the invitation for the COA and registered right away. We see it as a good sign and stay positive.

I check the status online on a daily basis. We really can´t wait for the decision to be made.

Anyways... I´m glad I found this forum and wish everbody a speedy process. I know how hard it is to be apart from loved ones!!!

Cheers from Vancouver, BC

Now get that passport over to the courier office and don't forget the prepaid airway bill! lol ;D

Good news coming out of the MCVO this week!

Thank you kindly Marc for keeping the spreadsheet up to date as always :)
Yes we hope there is nothing additional that they will request. We were told that our application is basic, but with CIC I'm sure nothing is basic with them.

My wife is in Nicaragua, and I'm here in Canada. We could only wish that she was already here on a TRV visa.

Kind Regards,
Bruce

Thanks for explaining it clearly. I'll let my husband know, he went to DHL and they said it would cost 500 pesos to send his passport and have an envelope for it to be returned in ( we are assuming that is the prepaid airway bill). I'm nervous about doing that in case it costs more and results in a delay. It also sounds like the visa office may send back pictures and other documents from the application, in which case it may cost more than 500 pesos. Did they return your documents with your passport?
I'm probably making a simple thing complicated but I don't want to risk any chance of a delay, lol.
Cheers :)

Hi there,

Thanks for welcoming me/us to the thead. I filled out as much as I can. As mentioned in my first post I´m not really familiar with some short cuts like
PGR or ARC.
At the interview the officer told us that once they receive the last document it´ll take around 2 weeks to get the decision. well.... that´s over now ;)
Even the offer to send cup cakes did not speed it up :(

Let´s hope for the best.
