I got my Sponsorship Approved yesterday !!! ;D

I am super excited, off to the Mexican VO .... well, looking at the last entries that were stuck in limbo for 100+ days, maybe this excitement will wear off soon - but I will enjoy it as long a I can before it does.

At this moment I am still investigating if I can pay the Spanish criminal record via on-line banking, someone with information about it, Its already a week and I am stock..

So guys a skilled worker applicant (Quebec) received his AOR from Mexico today. This person sent his Application in April. Do you think that they process all applications together or there are 2 different departments. Anyway, they were experiencing some delays as us. I hope this is a good sign...

Just to give hope to all of us who are patiently waiting for movement in the MCVO, one of the members of Mexi-Can spouses on Facebook just received her husband's passport back with COPR, after less than 8 months total processing time including 2 additional document request, one of which was ARC.

There is hope for us 2015 applicants after all.

hello im new to the forum..... i my SA on july 6 and application has been send to mex VO.... i hope they speed up the process this month

I got my SA and was requested to send med examination, i call cic to get the address and the agent was really rude, i ask him if i should send it to the embassy and he said click on the link and send it there i click on it and got this address :CANADA VISA APPLICATION CENTER

Would you say that this stage is the longest wait? I'm kind of happy most of this wait will be over summer early fall months, because the dark winter days seem long enough by themselves ???

Does anyone have more information about the Police Certificate in Mexico? Can they not get it in the City where they live (my husband is still in Mexico)? Is there more travel involved?

Definitely this is the longest stage. Total application processing time, including SA, I think best case scenario is 6-8 months, probably more like a year to be realistic and only if your application is not complicated. Max 18 months at the long end.

Some pages back in this forum there was good info about which PGR offices will provide the police certificate. I'll see if I can find you the post, but essentially it must be requested at the PGR sede office in the state where you (the applicant lives). You can only request it once the Visa Office sends you the official request letter which you take to the main PGR office in your state. There may be more travel involved yes. In our case we live in Manzanillo and will have to drive to Colima City to get the PGR Cert.

Update: found it;

You can now get the PGR certificate in any state office of the PGR. When you go there they will fingerprint you in the office and it will take approximately 10 business days to get the actual certificate. Cic will send you an e-mail/letter to take to the PGR. You will need 2 passport photos from the front and 2 from the right profile. You also need a "comprobante de domicilio and your ife or passport. You also need to print the voucher to take to the bank to make your payment BEFORE you go to the PGR office.

My SA only said to the visa office and had the link that took me to the address I posted before and call center agent said don't send docs to the embassy .... so I send them to the address on website last week. im in Edmonton, but application was send from MD USA

As long as you have you UCI number and name it should get to the right place. Perhaps email the MCVO in a couple weeks to confirm arrival of your med exams. They may also update your ECAS to medicals received.
