I know the feeling I havent been able to see my husband for about four months now... and so going down there will be nice to spend that time with him..

I have a questions for those spouses who was a failed refugee before, if they have requested a copy of the IRB decision does this mean that my husband will have an interview in the near future? He did his medical again and done with his PGR request also. Hoping to be with him soon. Thanks

Hi Coquii. I am a failed refugee claimant and they requested the IRB decision but I didn't have an interview. So it doesn't necessarily mean that :)

Hello Mexico Thread :),
I haven't posted on here in a long time but after 2 long yrs of going through the process my husband finally received his PPR
and we are now waiting for his visa to be sent back. For all of you still waiting, your time is coming soon. Good luck
to all of you ;)

Mexicanada

Anyone with a PR in progress or recently done in the Mexico City Visa office - are you sending the PGR in with or without being translated?

It seems like there are mixed answers regarding this.

Thanks!

We sent ours not translated and I asked before and everyone said they sent it without being translated

You don't need to have the PGR translated into English. ;D

Thanks Pineapple87.
After submitting the PGR, how many weeks or months again to wait for the embassy to contact us. .

Hi all, I sent in my application November 1st, and everything necessary i sent just over 2 weeks ago. The immigration officer had said I've done everything needed on my part. Pgr, Irb decision etc... Just growing very impatient... living with hubby in mexico, but im really wanting to go back home, especially because im pregnant and want baby born there, also I am craving poutine :(
Just wondering if anyone has been in my position and how long approx it took for either the interview or ppr ??

Thanks for the response!

Have they updated your online status page to say it's been accepted yet? As usual I'm just worried if we do it without they'll do something like reject it and we'll have to get another. :)

Hey Everyone!!.
I still see a few familiar usernames on here that I know, so some of you might know me, others wont but I have been done the process for just over a year now :)

I just wanted to send an invitation out to anyone who is interested.
Myself and quite a few others who are finished the process started a Facebook Group called Mexican Spouses just over a year ago, where everyone with a Mexican spouse is welcome to join and ask any questions about immigration, or just discuss anything to do with living the lifestyle we all share. We also have quite a few members who know the ins and outs of the process that are very helpful. Here is the link, take a look, you are all welcome to Join. :)

Good Luck to everyone still waiting! Patience is Virtue. ;D

Hi Mexicanada when did your husband sent his passport, in the PPR did they say about passport returning time, my husband got his PPR last August 18th and sent and they received on the 21st, and they say between 1 and 2 weeks the passport would be returned. we are bitting our nails waiting.

Hi PgmpAecv,
We sent in my husband PP on August 6th and it was received by the Embassy on the 7th.
It says it "COULD" take 1-2 weeks to send it back but it been 3 weeks as of today.
We are also biting our nails waiting for it. I am ready to book his flight but can't until
we get the visa in his hands. :(
