Hi PgmpAecv,
We sent in my husband PP on August 6th and it was received by the Embassy on the 7th.
It says it "COULD" take 1-2 weeks to send it back but it been 3 weeks as of today.
We are also biting our nails waiting for it. I am ready to book his flight but can't until
we get the visa in his hands.

We are astonished, my husband just received his COPR and passport yesterday Aug. 29th, we wasn't expecting it that soon, it took 1 week for him, I already booked his flight, he will be landing sunday in vancouver. This waiting games drove us crazy, but the reward is priceless at the end.
I'm pretty sure Mexicanada your husband will be next, cross fingers and you will be together soon.

Congrats to the both of you! My husband should have his visa this week. CIC sent it out August 29th. His took 3 weeks 4 days.
Finally the wait is over for us too;D. My husband will be landing in Vancouver in October. Can't wait!

My husband didn't get an interview and they aren't always required unless "Red Flags" about the relationship are there.
We had a lot of additional documents we had to submit after we did the PGR so our process took a little longer than most people filing
outland from Mexico but if your app is straight forward then I don't think you will be waiting much longer to here from
CIC. There is no real way of knowing when they will contact you so patience is key going through this process. Good luck!

Our lawyer just sent in the forms and PGR last week and my Ecas said.. medical result has been received. Now I am waiting for the letter for ARC before PPR. How long am I going to wait? Been waiting for him for more than 2 years now..

Just saw yesterday on ecas that it says medical results received. My husband had to do extra tests and he did them on August 5th so that's fast.

Hopefully we can get our application moving along now.

I never did send them in an update package, I'm too busy with the newborn baby. We're going down to Costa Rica to stay with my hubby until he gets his PR. Hopefully jan/feb we can come home to canada.

Tweetybird, I ordered my gcms notes online. I ordered the electronic ones that they send by email. Gcms must be an old name for them because on the website they are called ATIP and I think you can just type that into the search bar on the immigration canada website to get to where you order them. If you can't find it try access to information.

The Canadian has to apply for them. They tell you at what stage your application is at, it shows whether or not they have started or completed the background checks. The officers that review the file add notes to the bottom, this will be about your relationship and what they think based on the evidence that you sent. If they have any concerns, or are recommending an interview, you will see it noted.

Am I reading this right that if my Honduran girlfriend (to be wife) is to apply it will be done through Mexico City, and that there may be an interview there? What if she cannot get a VISA for Mexico? thoughts thanks

I'm pretty sure if you get called for an interview it would be at the Canadian embassy in the country that you live in. My husband is Costa Rican. We didn't get called for an interview, but it would be pretty unreasonable for them to expect us to travel to Mexico for the interview.

Hey everyone, So our first stage has been approved and we have gotten the fingerprints and photos needed to get the Informe de datos registrales. Just wondering when we send all this to the embassy in mexico city will they forward this to Mississauga where our application is being processed? because according to the email we have to have it sent to case processing centre by jan 1/15. Also we want to apply for an open work permit, I cant do it online because my wife's visitor visa has expired and she is under implied status. In the work permit package it says we need a stamped imm 5401 receipt, since i paid for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) online is that the reciept they are looking for?
