Does anyone know if my husband can get his PGR in Mazatlan or will he have to travel to another city? I can't seem to find the info anywhere.

My wife is from Mazatlan. Had to go twice to Culiacan. First to take the letter and then to pick it up. So where are you in Canada?

Thank you, CdnMxHusb! That's what I was thinking but, I just wanted to make sure. I wonder if they'll courier the PGR back to him if he leaves a waybill with them? I'm in Calgary but, I'm going to Maz in November to see him. Can't wait!

Tell me about it. Almost 9 month since we applied and I have heard nothing yet :(

I know wat u mean , still haven't hear from them either , Im starting to make me depress ! This whole process sucks !!

Hopefully we are all over wit this awful process soon !

I am so tired of waiting... My application was filled only 7 months + 1 week ago, but I am on the long distance relationship much longer than that. I supposed to get married on 2010, but bumps on the way made it possible only for 2012. I am waiting to be with my husband for 4 years! It's been too long and I am so discouraged with this strike and delay... :'(

Hey guys,
As part of the application, form 3908E requires Identity and Civil Status documents and it says: "Provide photocopies of the following docs confirming the relationship between you and each of your family members" and lists birth certificates, marriage certs, etc.

Does this mean that if my wife is sponsoring me (no kids, no dependents, its just me): I do not have to provide any of this documents? As no family member is being included in this application?

I can provide my IFE, passport and visa (I am currently in the US under a work visa) to prove my identity, would that be enough? what do you guys think?

I'm trying to avoid the hassle of getting a certified copy of my birth certificate.

Hello all,

I had a question, I was approved as a Sponsor on the 22nd of April, 2013 and I sent the PGR waybill shortly after. However, I have still not heard anything from CIC. I did send a case specific email and they told me applications were treated in order (general response, pretty much). I'm wondering how long it usually takes for them to send the PGR form? I have seen that 3 months seem to be the average however it has now been 5 months. I am a little worried and was wondering if I should contact my MP at this point?

What are your suggestions?
Thanks!
