Nell1236 said:The kind of interview depends on what they are looking for - in my husband's case it was mainly to find a pretext to deny us, in this case claiming we were not in a genuine relationship because we (not I but we) had had conversations with my ex. All BS, but that's what they do - look for the tiniest stupid detail to deny you, so keep that in mind. It doesn't matter what the laws of the country are, they can use anything and everything against you. Some of their questions about my finances could have been answered by asking me into the interview, but when my husband suggested it, Mrs. Davila (see below) said she didn't want to see me. Of course not, because I could have dispelled any doubts!
The other thing they did was to goad him, trying to make him feel ashamed. I don't want to be more specific because they likely have someone spying on this thread.
Lastly, I want to confirm that at the Embassy in Mexico City my husband saw only Mexicans, including the woman who has been running the Embassy for the last 20 or so years Mrs. Davila. He saw nothing to indicate that it was in any way connected with Canada (no flags, no pictures, no Canadian anything including no non-Mexican personnel). He said that all the people who worked there including the first interviewer (before Mrs. Davila who makes the final decisions) looked uneducated, like people who would normally work at a taco stand or in a market. Another interviewee agreed. As an immigration lawyer once said, she should have been retired years ago.
And I was initially not allowed to enter the waiting area where Mexican families were waiting for the interviewed person. The haggling went on for half an hour before someone higher up decided to let me in (I'm a Canadian citizen).
It was a terrible experience and one most Canadians would be ashamed of and could not imagine.

Our process has been a pain in the butt. Sent our app in aug 2012. My sponsor app was approved in october but our app wasnt successfully transferred to mexico until end of january and noone would of noticed if i didnt call and email trying to figure out what the hell was going on. And just two thursdays ago they asked for re submission of medicals. But they have been asking for stuff in between. So hopefully ppr will be next. I cant keep telling our daughter that papi is at workLena1984 said:Yeah I know many are in the same or worse situation =( When did you apply? They asked for FBI report. I mean at least there is some kind of communication. But its been dragging for almost a year now.
Hang in there Lena. I know how you feel. But just to give you some hope I was asked to submit some documents and 6 weeks after they were received at the Visa Office my husband finally received the PPR! I hope the same happens to you! Hope PPR is the next step in your process!Lena1984 said:I'm kinda frustrated and starting to get depressed here... it's been 5 weeks that they received the required documents and they said when they receive it they will process it ASAP.Last time we heard from them was an email 2 weeks ago that they received the email where my hubby sent them the tracking information. But not that they received all docs and that it was satisfactory to them or anything. haven't been this down in a while this waiting is driving me crazy. :'(

What exactly are they linking to? Does it say there's a strike but they're maintaining a minimum level of service?costacro said:Were in the same boat. And the past two email replies from them we received they keep sending us the link to the Pafso strike thing. Its really upsetting. What were the last docs they asked from you guys? Keep your head up. I know its hard because were all going through the same thing. And trust me i always say this to my husband there is always someone else with a worse situation then us.
