 no? I read Mexico doesn't had a national identity number that can be considered like the official one, you can skip that question, so I put no. Because of the expiration issue.

I could re-sent the form to hubby, adding this info, but it's pretty confusing.

I just tought well I have no dependants and I have no representative, I read somewhere it says you shoul add this form IMM5476 if it applies to you or something, but right now I don't remember where.

Hmm. Im not sure, I know a few people who used the IFE as the national identity card, and we put the info on the form as well as sent in a photocopy of the front and back.

Maybe someone else and can if they added an identity card or not?

Yeah I know if says to fill out the form if it applies to you.
I dunno, I was just going by the advice our immigration consultant had given us. Not really sure if it will make a difference or not.

Maybe ask the same question on a different thread or on the top thread of the forum, and see if there were other people that didn't include the forms that were not for them and if it caused any problem or not.

I mean it really shouldn't, but I cant say for sure, seems like CIC is so picky. :-\

I still continue with these questions:

1.- What copies do I need certified by the notary?

In the part Inmigration Forms:

IM0008 cuestion 7: Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?
3.- It is correct if I left unanswered 7c because I have not applied for the CSQ and they ask for the date? I have to write NA or what do I have to do?

In the Additional family information (IMM 5406)
6.- In section A Do I have to sign or not?
7.- In section B If I don't have children I have to write NA?

Please, I need your help!     I am applying for Montreal ;D

I'm really happy because finally after months of hard work I sent my app to my husband this morning. I know he has to completed but the sponsored person part is the longest one. He has pretty much everything we need, just need to tape since he filled them out hanwritten already.

But now I'm worried I could miss something. First, I didn't add the forms that didn't apply to us, like the representative form, or the dependants part. And second I read somewhere in this forum that Mexico doesn't really have a national identity number, could be the curp but has not an expiration date and the data from my passport they already had it.

Should I really need to add the forms that doesn't apply for us? And my CURP or IFE information, I can still do it since I had not sent the to CPC-M yet

Like always thanks for you answers

LEISAP your posts and answers were a real help in the preparation of my app, thanks
We used the IFE for my husband for the National Identity Document. We also filled out the Representative form using myself as the representative so I can have access and request information for both of us if I need to. I'm the wife, sponsor, representative and interpreter. Whew!

I translated my birth and marriage certificate, like they said it has to be a certified translator. Yeah you have to do the medical examination before and send them the paper that says you did it.

I'm not sure but I think when you applied from Quebec the process is different, I would go to a Montreal thread and ask for help. Because I think you need to have the CSQ or at least have applied for it.

About the signs in IMM5406, what I did was put N/A in A and B, because I had a husband and step sons. In my understanding if you have to sign if you don't have a husband and if you don't have any kids. I only signed the last part.

Yeah that's what i heard that if you want the sponsor it's going to be the one checking the process you need to submit it and put him/her as representative.

Well in my case I think I'll be the one checking the process and if we need my husband to get involved then I'll subbmit the form.

Even I'm the sponsored one I'm the one that is helping hubby with the process lol.

Let see what happen with the Ntional Identity Number, like I said I read it shouldn't be a problem. What date you put for the expiration of IFE????

For the IFE, when we printed out the for we just put N/A in the expiry part.

And we didn't get the photocopies certified.

And yes definatly do the medical before!!
I have seen it causing a 8 month delay because someone didn't send in their medical with the initial app.

What do you mean for the pictures? like the little PR style pictures, or the evidence pictures?

Hello Guys!!!

I do need your help, PLEASE.

My Canadian common-law partner and I (mexican) are gathering all the documentation to be sent to Mississauga.

1. Do I need to have my medical exams done at MEI in Mex City and put them in that file?
2. He is filling out some forms and I am filling Forms: IMM 0008, IMM5669 and IMM 5490 (Are those the right ones?
3. The National Identity Document: Is that the Credencial para Votar IFE or the passport?
4. How many pieces of sheets will be ok to describe our relationship? 2? 3? 4? 9? 10?
5. How should we send our file? Is a binder ok or not?

I will be very grateful to you all for any kind of advice, recommendations, suggestions, whatever info you can provide me.

Thanks a lot in advance.
Orangie :)

Ok here is what I did, I search on the internet how I could get a certified photocopy of the birth certificate and the marriage certificate, it came out that I had to go to the Registro Civil and ask for those documents there.

My dad helped me with that because I'm working and couldn't go. So it cost like 90 pesos or something to get both of them, I was expecting a photocopy with a seal or I didn't know what, well that's the same document I've been using always when they asked for my birth certificate as the original birth certificate it's the one they got, the same as the marriage certificate, but the original one is the one the judge gives you at the marriage moment. The one with the fingertips.

So for me these documents are been the original all the time. My question, what you mean when you say "the originals"?

The original documents are the ones that are in Registro civil's files, the ones we used all the time are the certified photocopies, and don't need nothing else than being translate for a certified or official translator.

Hello Gamyover :) Thanks for helping me, u are an angel :-* With Originals I mean not the photocopys My husband told me that it would be better to send the originals documents and not the copies. With your explanation I understand that it the marriage certificate and the birth certificate are o.k with the legalization.
