they already send me that letter but I dont know when I have to send it back or whats the due date :'( :'( :'( they send that letter on June 05th and I just received today :'( :'( :'(

before i get the embassy letter to get the police check (pgr), i got an email and they asked me for few stuffs more, and they give 120 days to send everything, i think you still have time, i got the email in the begging of april and i got the letter 15 to 2o days later.

That is my problem , I never got that email like they send it but I never got it ... I got the letter by mail but I don´t know if they need anything else :( do you know if I can get an extention on sending the documents ?? also do you know if the fact that they already send the PGR letter means an interview wont be needed ?

Thankz

I have a question, in the checklist 3908e there is something called Supplement to Schedule 1- Background declaration. Where exactly I supposed to place this form? With the IMM5669? Or with the checklist?

thanks in advance, cheers to everyone

I placed it right after the background declaration pages since it's a supplement. I also didn't include the second checklist. Something else to worry about. Sigh...

Thanks it's just that form is a little confusing. What checklist you didn't include? The truth is that is really hard not missed some stuff while you are doing others. I'm still working on my app, about finish it, but I'm going to be so happy when I'm done with it.

Good luck

I didn't include the country specific checklist because it had so many things on it that were repeated from the main checklist. Though looking back at it, I missed something that may or may not be a problem for us.
It took us 2 and a half months to complete the app and it is such a great feeling to finally have it finished and submitted.
Good luck to you as well!!

Hey guys,

I've just been asked for the PGR certificate and I have some doubts about how to submit it.

I know it has to be translated, but when consulting with the translators listed by the embassy they mention something about a certification by the embassy that costs 80 CND. Is this embassy certification mandatory or will the mexican official certification suffy??

Also, how long after you've been asked for additional documents do I have to submit them? (I'm in Canada right now and my mother is helping me with the processing).

Any pointers on the interview would also be much appreciated.

the PGR does NOT have to be translated. :)

as for time frame to submit documents, they will tell you in the request email how many days you have to send in everything.

Is there anyone sponsoring spouse from costa rica through the mexico vo in this thread? I have a few questions please

That would be me, but I'm not sure if I have any answers. I don't even understand the abbreviations on this forum.. Apparently there are letters and additional information sent by the visa office in Mexico but so far I've only received two confirmation letters by email back in March 2013. One was that I qualify as sponsor and the other one is that they forwarded my wife's docs to the visa office in Mexico. Since then nothing.

Well i am further into the process then you. But if there is anything you have questions about just ask were all here to help. Have you been to costa rica? March was not long ago but let me tell you once i got the sponsor approval and they emailed Me the letter saying that my husband application was going to be transferred to Mexico I did not receive nothing for about two months at which time I emailed mexico and they told me that they did not receive the file from Mississauga so then I had to contact Mississauga and they had to transfer my file again. supposedly the call center says it's not something that happens often but it does happen when the transfer of applications does not go through. You should email mexico and just ask them to acknowledge reception of your application since you received your sponsor approval in march. Doesnt hurt

@ costacro

I checked online through CIC's web site using the UCI number and it says: "Application Received" ..

I'm actually sponsoring as a "Canadian Living Exclusively Outside Canada" because I'm a resident of Costa Rica since 1999.. I'm still in Costa Rica BTW..

I'm guessing the procedure for sponsoring from "Outside Canada" may be a bit different because I had to sent the police records (hoja de delicuencia) and the medical with my wife's application package. I've paid the full fee as well.. there was one for application and one for PR or something. Can't remember exactly but was something like $1050 Canadian if I remember correctly

Thanks for offering your help.

May be we can start with the explanation of the following terms:

AOR
ARC
PGR letter
MP

Sorry I just don't know what they mean..

P.S.
Another thing I'm worried about is that in CR they do not use postal/zip codes, street names and house numbers. A typical address would be: From Restaurant "El Guacamole" 300 Meters North, 45 East, The 4th house on the left with the Green front door.

I'm not sure if they send something by regular mail that we'd get it.. Mail is totally unreliable here.

I just made a new costa rican thread. Im in toronto and my husband is still in CR i was there last yr for 6 mnths we have a daughter as well but our application is outland sponsorship so it is different i think i paid the same with the Application fee sponsor fee and right of permanent residence fee.
Aor acknowledgment of receipt ( which should be the first letter you get once application goes to cusa office)
Arc - authority to return to canada
Mp - is your local member of parliment in canada they go by postal codes
And pgr im not sure. Maybe someone else can clarify that

@ ianCR.
Omg the address thing your soo right i hated that " 50 metres orste de la bomba gasotica. Casa con pinta roja " ahaha the funniest thing i strictly get e-mails from them thats how we communicate. Go over to my costa rian thread if your gonna reply to this and ill give yoy more infor with the address thing that i have

don't mean to be harsh but this thread is about Mexico, not Costa Rica. I think it would be better if you guys made a Cosa Rica thread :)
