Hi everyone, next Thursday (unless I receive PPR before then) I will be sending a Case Specific Enquiry to the Mexico VO because at that point our application will be past processing time. Any ideas on how I can word this email so that they will take it seriously and hopefully respond to it promptly? Any suggestion would be helpful. thank you!

Hey, i just sent a case specific today,

I just said something along the time lines of

hi, i am emailing you because we recently sent in some documents and its been 4 weeks and we have no heard anything whether they were sufficient or not. I also contacted my local mp because we have been in process for 15 months but he also did not have any update for me. your response would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time

something like that. just try to be polite and blunt, get straight to the point. they prefer emails that are concise rather than blab on and on and on. lol

:)

Hi everyone I have not had the chance to post but my husband got his ppr and he landed here in Toronto on Monday. We are so happy and relieved thank you to everyone on the forum for their assistance with our questions!

For anyone else who may be a failed refugee that was detained and deported there is hope unlike many of the posts I read that said we would not be approved.. it took just over 12 months for us. Good luck to everyone still in process!

I'm pretty sure we have all of this - we sent copies in with our application.

Are photocopies good enough to apply for ARC?

Basically you need a lawyer to craft the declaration and witness you signing it. They will then "notarize it" which is a signature/seal where they swear that you signed it in their presence.

Thanks very much for the info.

:)

Good Morning everyone,

I have a question about the documents I have to send

Birth certificate and marriage certificate.

Do I have to send only photocopies of these or do I have to send these documents Legalize?

Thanks!!!

Im not sure about the marriage certificate.
But i know the birth certificate has to be original.
On the application guide it should tell u what documents need to be original and what can be photocopies

You're welcome. Remember to look at all the forms and appendices on CIC's web site, because sometimes they have a specific form to fill out along with it...

My marriage cert only needed to be photo copied!

They said they would get back to me and I'm still waiting. I just booked him on a westjet flight instead. It leaves one hour before my air transat flight so it should be ok. I'll wait till I get back from my trip to put in another complaint and possibly a letter to the newspaper and such. I am really not impressed with them, but I still need to fly with them because they are the only direct flight that will accomendate my dogs.

Apparently westjet won't fly dogs out of mexico after may 1st because of the heat. They resume service October 31st. I was pretty hubby wouldn't want to fly back October 31st lol. Poor guy wants to leave now but my mom, daughter and I are taking a little vacation and helping him pack at the same time. He is a dj so he has a lot of cds and stuff.
