We usually fly with westjet. He is in Puerto Vallarta. Our dogs are slightly too big to fit in cabin so they need to fly in the belly of the plane. Because of the heat they won't allow dogs to fly under there from May 1st to October 31st. I'm not sure what we're going to do :(

oo okay!! we have to fly with aeromexico, cuz our dog is too big for most airlines lol. but aeromexico has no restrictions and seems to be really good with animal cargo.
really i didnt know they had an embargo on that, but i guess even though you are flying into canada, u still have to leave mexico.
hmm that sucks cuz in the winter they say its too cold in canada, but in the summer it too hot in mexico. very frustrating!

i really hope he gets here before may 1. cuz i know how stressed out we have been about bringing our girl back here.

when we took her to mexico back in march 2012, she was only 7 months so we could fly west jet, barley but still managed it.

now shes almost 2 years old and shes just gotten too big.

Anyone know where to get spanish documents (birth certificate) translated? I'm in Vancouver

here is a list of certified spanish to english translators in vancouver,

i would call around first because some of them are very overpriced and take a long time

i cant remember who we got ours with but im pretty sure it was either shannon or estela

we called about 5-6 before finding a fast one with a good price!

Try MOSAIC. They're on Commercial Drive or visit their website: http://www.mosaicbc.com/mosaic-language-services/translation-and-interpretation/translation

Thanks for your help! Have you used them before? And do they have certified translators?

I have used Mosiac before and my experience with them was good. They are pricey but they get the job done.
I know they charge by the word and you have to put 50% down and pay the rest owing upon pick up. I did my translations last year so I am not sure if things have changed as far as pricing goes and so on. Give them a call!

You could also try getting it done online. I know the translater we used in Toronto would take submissions online. Unforunately, I don't remember her contact information.

No AOR yet, but I'm relieved by the fact that 3 months is normal. Thanks. =)

I got in touch with my local MP and his assistant contacted cic for us to see where we were at

and the last update they have is that there were documents requested in feb, which we sent march 25.
so he said they are either working on them now or havent opened them yet, but other than that everything else is good, we got a positive selection (which im assuming means sponsorship is approved) everything is still valid and good to go, so we are basically just waiting for the embassy to process those last documents and hopefully it will be soon!!

theyve had the documents for 2 weeks now
so hopefully within the next couple weeks we will hear some good news! :D

That is awesome, LeisaP!

What's a good rule of thumb about when to contact your MP's office?

How do they certify it without the original?
