From what I´ve been reading from a few people and what OhC has been saying there´s still a chance of an interview but most likely if they didn´t ask for more proof of relationship when they asked for the police reports they won´t need an interview.

My last DHL was delivered on Dec 13th and I think a few of us sent everuthing in that week. They´re back to work today so I hope they start sending those PPR´s soon!!

yo tambien Eduram...I'm hoping we hear soon...we want to start out life together asap!

Anyone have any thoughts on how long this typically takes after CIC receives your application? Their web site says 43 days to validate the sponsor and 13 months to validate the sponsored spouse... but I seem to recall "six months" floating around the forum... anyone?

Thanks for the good wishes. One question though... when people say it took them 'about 6 months' are they referring to the stuff that happens at the visa office or the entire process? Looking at the processing times online, it looks like 13 months... are they just publishing that to cover themselves if it takes longer? I wonder if it's an average based on how long it takes to get through both really good and really bad applications...
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp

So, the way the timing officially works is separate - so you add step 1 to step 2. The timing published online by CIC at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp is for 80% of the cases so most cases are done faster than that but the tail of the distribution can be very long.

You can see the statistics at a more nuanced level at http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/case-processing-speed-at-visa-offices-step-2-t102206.0.html for 2011. Mexico City completed 20% of cases in 5 months, 30 % in 6 mo., 50 % in 7 mo., 70 % in 11 mo., & 80% in 13 mo..

Thanks, OhCanadiana!!!

So it's a bit of a gamble.. AHHHHH I hope we are fast!!!! The thing I hope the most is we get through before he is asked to pick the stupid military ball. =( Apparently it happens again 9 months from now so we have a 50/50 chance...

So... based on the page linked below I assume my 43-day wait doesn't start until it says "working on applications received Jan. 1"... is this correct and does anyone have experience with how long it takes for them to start processing your application?

The wait starts the day they receive the package so in all likelihood, you'll have the sponsorship approval by (or around) the date it says "working on applications received Jan. 1."

When wdid you pay the RPRF? I´m afraid my PPR will take longer if the payment hasn´t been processed yet.
