Last week quite a few of us for PPR, but we have been waiting a while. I dont really think they do things in batches, people get emails at different points depending on what is needed.

Hey all
I have a couple questions.
we are going to get the ssp next week. do any of you have an actual website link that works so i can get the most up to date requirements for this document? i want to make sure that i have everything before we leave Vallarta on Sunday. (yes, big procrastinator)

or... do you have a number for them? the one we´ve been trying, nobody ever answers.

thanks so much!!

Here lists all the documents you need. We just sent my mother in law to get it and it was done no problem. But the address you have is the correct one.

Hi, como están!?, Hey I just got the SSP clearance as well, the only thing u need is copy of ur birth certificate with copy of your ID, and if sb does it on your behalf u need a "carta poder" with signatures of witnesses and copy of their ID...
in other hand I use this space to ask you GUYS Urgently!! , I been trying to get my "constancia de antecedentes registrales" (PGR), since I'm already in Mexico city I went in person to get it but this other person told me that I need "A LETTER" from the embassy of Canada in Mexico address to the PGR in order to get this constancia, my question is: Does somebody of you got that letter when CIC requested your police clearances from Mexico!? I ready sent an email to my VO the haven't respond... Is that the only way I can get the letter?? I REALLY NEEd HELP WITH THIS, thanks.

The request for the PGR is a formal letter sent by the embassy to your mailing address. Seperate to the request for the ssp and PGR that is usually sent by email. It says on the letter that if not received by 30 days of the request letter to sent a pre paid way bill to the embassy to recieve this letter. We got our request Oct 12 and had not recieved the letter by Nov 1st so we sent the pre paid way bill because it takes about 10days for them to recieve it and send it back. We now have the letter because of the pre paidway bill we sent and still no sign of the one they sent on there own and its now the 16th!

Meeshy is correct. The PGR requires an original, formal request letter from a government to issue the constancia de antecedentes penales.

The good news is that many state offices of the PGR (list below*) are processing the requests so you may not need to go all the way to Mexico City to get it once you have the request letter from the Canadian Embassy in Mexico mailed to you.

* Aguascalientes, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Colima, Durango, Estado de México, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, Yucatán y Zacatecas. You can find the info at http://www.pgr.gob.mx/Servicios/Constancia/antecedentes%20registrales.asp

Good news on our end, our DHL package is on its way back to my hubby.. Embassy sent it off last night! So we should get it Monday (hopefully) morning! Also a change in our e-cas, before it only had our address, and now it has two present addresses .. In our case, my spouses old address is his new one (since he was in Canada with me when we applied), but now they put his city on the right side and his full present address on the right! :D

So incase anyone was wondering, we sent my spouses passport on Nov 13th and it got sent back out to us Nov 16th! Very fast turn around time.

Congratulations, mc1234 8)
