When was the last time you saw him? I would say you are at the end and will get PPR soon. But I know there are no FOR SURES when it comes to CIC.

Last visit was Dec/early January for a few weeks which is why I'm getting beyond antsy about making plans! We Skype daily, which is of course a poor substitute. Oh well, we do what we have to while keeping the eye on the prize. Will wait and see what June/July brings and decide from there.

I wish Canada would lift the visa requirements for Mexicans.. which was only suppose to be temporary in the first place. Some people speculated it would happen in 2012.. but I don't see that happening.

You mean the visitor's visa requirement? I highly doubt it. Too many Mexicans were staying illegally.

Yes when the visitor visa was implemented, it was only suppose to be temporary until Canada improved it's refugee system. It was never said to be permanent. And yet even with pressure from the Mexican president.. Harper isn't budging!

Yeah I doubt he will budge. But they have a good temporary worker program for Mexicans. I wish the US would do that and avoid so many complications.

Yeah I actually looked into that, and we never had any luck, even though Alberta has a TON of foreign workers. It would be better if he was here.. even if it was in an entry level job. But I'm keeping my hopes up that the paperwork goes smoothly.

I remember I was applying for my FM3 visa for Mexico like a week after they started the visitor visa for mexicans to visit Canada and they were very rude to me in the consulate and kept adding requirements that weren´t on the original page they gave me! :

Did you ever end up getting a visa approved? Is he in Canada now or Mexico?

Yes I did get the visa! It was a visa for me to come to Mexico.


Also we applied for the visitor visa about a year and a half ago for my husband to visit in Canada, and he did get it, and then never got to use it!

Oh you're both in Mexico. That's great. Has he been to Alberta? I'm worried how my husband will adjust to winter here.. lol

Nope he hasn´t been to Canada yet! He is kind of afraid about the cold LOL. Keeps saying he is going to buy the biggest coat he can find and not go outside all winter. hahah.

Hello everyone, I would like to know who applied in october 2011, and what is the status of the application by now? And if anyone knows how long it's is taking to get an arc within the sponsorship application? Edgar what is the situation with your case now?

Hey sad143! Haven't seen you around in a while

I recently handed in all of the additional documents that were requested (Police certificates and Meds) This was a week and a half ago, so right now I'm just waiting until they contact me. I'm hoping to hear something within 2 months. What's the status with your case so far?

Sorry if I'm not around as much guys, not only is my wife here right now, but also her sister and her sister's boyfriend, so I have a full house. They've been having a blast in Mexico City though!
