Welcome nannhein!! I'm glad I can help. Feel free to comment or ask questions. We all help each other here.

I have added your timeline to the spreadsheet down below (see my sig line). For it to be of benefit to everyone who wants to compare data I would like you to fill in the missing information. Once updated I will move your timeline up into the main spreadsheet. Please then generally keep it up to date as you receive communication/achieve the various benchmarks of processing.

Great to have you here!

Anybody know the visa offices phone number so that I can't ask about this? Or should I not worry?
Valeescu,

If it were me I would courier the passport and related documentation asap. In the meantime write an email to them asap marked "URGENT" and explain the situation.

email address; Mexico-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

i tried looking up a phone number for the VO and only found this;

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/mexico-mexique/contact-contactez.aspx?lang=eng

It does say not to call but this is a special circumstance.

There is likely not a problem but it is best to remove any doubt.

ANYBODY know a phone number at the VO that works??

Thank you for including your timeline information in the spreadsheet. I have organized it into the main spreadsheet! We all appreciate you keeping it up to date.

We welcome you here in the forum and if you have any questions fire away!

I know many Mexican applicants will be curious on how it is that you have already submitted your PGR police reports on the assumption that one needs the authorizing letter from the VO to obtain the reports. Would you be so kind as to explain?

Thanks and Speedy Processing!

Thanks CANzanillo! Yes when I realised this last night I sent them an email marked urgent urgent, today we are doing my husbands photos and sending the documents tomorrow morning, I thought it was strange because I noticed around the 25th that on our ecas it said we recieved correspondence on the 21 which we didn't... That is why I emailed them and yesterday they responded by sending our ppr I guess they already know that we didn't recieve it on the 21

Hello CANzanillo and thank you for adding my information!

I am sure I will have many questions as things progress but the forums have already be incredibly helpful as a lurker too ;D

Seeing as it was my b/f who got the police report, I am not sure the exact process but I will ask to see if he can verify. All I know is that it was a few sheets of paper with photographs and finger prints and I was able to understand that it read, in spanish, that he does not have a criminal record. Perhaps we were mistaken!

In both of our check lists, they said that we are include originals of police certificates and clearances so he had them done, then had them translated and notarized. The lady who translated it said she had done the same for people applying for sponsorship before.

Very strange....if my b/f can explain anything more, I will certainly pass along the info.

Cheers to all and best of luck on speedy approvals!

Are there two different types of police clearances? Here is what it says in his checklist and on mine it says to include it but refer to his checklist for more info:

POLICE CERTIFICATES AND CLEARANCES
You must submit original police certificates of good conduct or clearances from each country in
which you and each of your family members aged 18 years or over have resided six continuous
months or more since reaching18 years of age. You must attach the original police certificate(s)
to the application. If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both, the
certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator.
However, if you have lived in Canada, at this time you are only required to indicate it on the
Schedule 1 Background/Declaration Form (IMM 0008). You will be notified by the visa office dur-ing
the processing of your application if you are required to submit a police certificate from Canada.

If I filled out the info on the spreadsheet wrong, I sincerely apologize. I am still learning all the abbreviations people use here.

Sorry to flood with posts but I asked my BF and he said he got the clearance from PGR if that helps and it took them a couple days to prepare it. Maybe it is a different one but I guess I will see if we get a request for another!

He said he went to the PGR building here in Cancun and there was signs that directed him to the appropriate area in the building to request it. Not sure if that information helps.
