TorontoLove, Valeescu, csanti, Jbodden, Chrillan, Maguita, Tinyaries, JuanP_MexiCan, Pau, nreilly! Thank you for your kind words and congratulations! I enjoy helping out here. It's my small gesture of appreciation for all the help and learning I've received in these forums. This is a arduous and stressful process. Being informed, I think, helps to relieve some of that stress.
We are extremely happy and at least I am quite relieved. My wife is now beginning to stress cause THIS JUST GOT REAL! For me, having to travel to Mexico City to redo the medicals and then potentially having to go for an interview, along with the associated processing delays and travel costs really had placed a great weight on my shoulders. I anticipated an interview due to our large age difference, so not having one is a huge relief for me! My wife is excited and sad at the same time. Sad to be leaving her family mostly and her beloved Mexico. We have a lot to do in the next couple weeks. Turn off the tap of life here and prepare to travel. Yesterday we couriered off my wife's passport, address info, prepaid Fedex courier envelope ($460 Pesos for both) and new larger photos as per the new(ish) requirements, (Something you may want to consider doing ahead of your PPR so that it's done, though no more than 6 months here is the link to new specs. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/pub/pass-photo-spec-eng.pdf). We hope to have stamped passport and COPR in hand by next Friday based on the recent experience of members.
My son is coming for a visit for a couple weeks so when he goes back to Canada on the 20th we are setting that time frame for our departure date. We are driving up so getting there for Christmas is not likely, but New Years for sure!
I am of the opinion that the visa is valid until December 01, 2016.
Thanks again and Speedy Processing!!!
