lol. Anywho, I think OhCanadiana gave you good advice, this is a marathon, not a sprint. After you get AOR from mexico city you will find that things get pretty fast and contact is pretty regular. I know how hard it is to just sit and wait, and I wasn't even apart from my husband.. But the good news is, when its over you will forget all the waiting you had to do and how hard it was, and all of it will be worth it..

You have to remember that anything that goes wrong can add a lot of wait time, no matter how insignificant the problem! In our case, they could not find my spouses medicals which made us wait another 1 1/2 months for our PPR. 1 month in immigration time is long
Also, consider yourself super lucky, quite a few of us on here had to wait 3 months + just to get sponsorship approval from Mississauga!

AOR - Acknowledgment of receipt
VO - Visa office
PPR - Passport request
MIL - Mother in law
COPR - Confirmation of permanant residence
PR - Permanant residence
I am sure there is a few more, but my mind has gone blank
