Welcome, mavimolly!mavimolly said:Hi everyone,
I've been lurking this thread for awhile and finally decided I should register and introduce myself. I'm sponsoring my wife. We applied in January 2012 and got sponsorship approval in March. We have submitted the SSP and PGR and our e-cas has been updated to "medical results have been received." So at this point, I believe we are just waiting on the PPR.
I'd put a timeline in my profile, but I gather I can't do that until I've posted a certain number of times?
Haha ya!mc1234 said:Theres an ID card? LOL I had no idea!
Sounds like the form letter.mc1234 said:Quick Question:
In our email for the police checks it says this:
Provide our office with original police certificates from the following places for you:

(PGR) Please visit the following website in order to obtain more information:

As many of you know, we have already begun to proccess the PGR and are currently waiting for it with the help of my mother in law. They did not ask for the informe de datos registrales (since my spouse is inside Canada with me) but did give us the instructions on how to do it. Does this mean they are giving us the option to do either or?
I was hoping that too.. Unfortunatly when dealing with Mexico your plans never happen like how you want them too.OhCanadiana said:Sounds like the form letter.
I was hoping they'd get your PGR before this was generated. Have your MIL send them the PGR one as soon as she gets it and include a note that she got it based on a request letter from the Mexican Embassy since your husband is visiting you and asking them to let you know if they need anything else. Hopefully that covers you.
Alas, the uncertainty of being a groundbreaker
My hypothesis was no. That's why I had brought up the idea to get the request letter from the Mexican Embassy to hopefully speed things up (it takes the Canadian Embassy in Mexico 60-90 days to process an informe for you if you live abroad). If I were in your shoes, I would just want confirmation from them that they are ok with the PGR certificate given that they have generated the request already.mc1234 said:Now I am all confused. Since esentially the informe and the constancia we are getting through the help of the embassy here is the same thing, with the same information.. Does it really matter how we got it?
Did the PGR give you any trouble with the request? What happened?mc1234 said:I was hoping that too.. Unfortunatly when dealing with Mexico your plans never happen like how you want them too.
How Could I do that? Send them a case specific inquiry? Based on the email, what are they asking for, the informe or the constancia??OhCanadiana said:My hypothesis was no. No not the PGR, just planning things while your in Canada for things to be done in Mexico is a major headache.OhCanadiana said:Did the PGR give you any trouble with the request? What happened?
Can you e-mail your MIL a cover letter to include when she mails the PGR constancia? If not, use a case specific enquiry.mc1234 said:How Could I do that? Send them a case specific inquiry? Based on the email, what are they asking for, the informe or the constancia??
mc1234 said:Its wierd though, because in the letter, they never told us they would be mailing out the PGR letter to us.. it says:

So they are asking for originals, which is why I assumed they are asking for the Constancia, rather than the informe.. But they never sent us anything like a PGR lette, or even mentioned they would.. which is why I am confused.
