Someone posted stat of the backlog in all the visa offices.
and in Mexico they have only 296 family class (non-parent) cases in process, (the stats are from april 2012) and 300 and some already with decision made.
thats good news for all of us! 296 is not that many,

And even like that I still don't know what's going on with my case I had never been this impatient before.

it seems like waiting at the end is alot harder than the begining!

just wait a couple more days than email them.
if you go there in person do they tell you any information or not?

They don't, the guy there basically has access to the same stuff you do, whereas the ones who read the case-specific enquiries are Immigration officers. I guess I'll wait until Friday, that should be good enough.

Where at the stats posted? Why do you think that isn't a lot? Is it down from previous years? Or just compared to other offices?

its lower than other places, and if you think about it 296 cases is not that many compared to some offices that have 1,000 cases, even in generally I dont think 296 seems like alot. If it was 500 cases that would seem like alot to me. lol
but thats just how my brain sees it haha.

Yeah it would depend on the size of the office though. That's why I'm wondering if this is up or down. I'll try and dig up previous stats. But no it doesn't seem too bad. Maybe they will post the next quarter soon!

I just found another stat.. From Jan 1 - Mar 31 2012, Mexico has only received 33 PR Family class applications!! That's not a lot.. what is taking them soo long??

33 isnt much at all.
can you find out from april 1-july. or now?

i would try but everytime i use database i cant figure it out. nothing ever comes up. :-\
