Hola Geógrafa,Hey Argy! I am new to this forum but am Canadian sponsoring my common-law partner who is from Argentina. Since you have gone through (successfully!) the process that we began in April, I have a question for you: In regards to the PCC - did it suffice to simply translate (certified) the print-out that they give you on the website and send that in? And secondly - we just found out that our app is being sent back because of missing documents. I am pretty sure that they are referring to my partner's birth certificate (no me preguntes CóMO lo faltamos.. me estoy auto-castigando muchísimo jaja!!). Can you tell about how you went about providing this? Did you simply photocopy the original and have that notarized and translated? Did you get the one that you can ask for online and have that translated and notarized?
Sorry to bombard you with questions, but it's nice to find someone who has dealt with the same country's beaurocracy!!
Saludos!!
Are you applying Outland, I guess? REMEMBER to ask for PCC "con execpcion al Cod 51" it needs to be at least 6 months old only, I ve got it in Buenos Aires within 1 hour by asking Express Certificate, if you do it through the Embassy in Montreal it will take a LONGER We sent the print copy from the web site to an official translator in Ontario, (believe or not it's faster and cheaper than doing it in BA) She did the translation but we didn't notarized it. We only sent the translated copy.
I wasn't asked to provide MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE, as far as I remember, but my husband Canadian citizen he did, and he also provided a copy of his PASSPORT. I remember we were asked to provide a COPY of our Marriage Certificate cause we sent The Record of Marriage, it was not accepted. So all these little "details" if you omitte them makes your Application stand by. They usually give you 30 days to provide the docs
