Hello, from the day I became permanent resident until I submitted citizenship application I did no go out of Canada not even for single day, continuously held jobs . I passed my test now received request for documentary evidence of residence in Canada. They ask for employment records etc I continuously held jobs which iam going to send proof but in application I forgot to put my first job in Canada info and started with second job but typo mistake I put wrong date for second job now iam going to send record of continuos employment which will show my first job record of emplyment also which is not in application , would that be a concern that I forgot to put first job info in application.

Everything that creates suspicion is a potential for a problem. You would need to explain well, because simple typo is not an excuse. They would expect that you must have read your forms at least 10 times before sending them in.

Put the correct dates and proof of employment in RQ. write a cover letter explaining the reason why you missed it in your application even you can write that by mistake you did not mention it in the application. Actually they send you RQ to correct any mistake that you made in your application. so do not repeat the same mistake and write what is true .

Actually you are wrong.... A typo is not an excuse? Seriously? What are you? perfect?

No dear, everyone has the capacity to make mistakes, people make mistakes, especially when time has passed, there is room for error...

your tone is way too arrogant.

Just sayin...

Ok my bad. I can see that my comment can be taken as arrogant.

Everybody can make mistake, but a good explanation will be in order. IMHO.

I did not receive RQ form to fill I received request for documentary evidence of my residence in Canada letter asking only to send photocopies of few documents like record of employment lease agreements passport coloured print outs etc so I only need to send copies of these documents not filling any RQ form what would u suggest should I write cover letter before they ask for explanation that why one of record of emplyment submitted now not shown on application or just wait for thier reply. it's an honest mistake nothing like adding emplyment if someone never had just claim but my situation I had emplyment but forgot to mention.

yes just write a cover letter and mention the mistake and attach with the required documents.

Any update .. I made a similar mistake in my form by mentioning the wrong position held in the form ... So curious if u got ur PPR inspite of the mistake ??

When I ordered my ATIP report, I found out the staff at CIC Sydney made 3 typos when typing my application into GCMS, including my email address, and caused me never received my AOR.

So while CIC do not tolerant any typo from applicants, they themselves can make any mistakes but applicants have to bear all the costs of their mistakes.

This is why they need to make the process more digital, either have barcode forms etc to remove chance of errors

hello, I know this is a long time from 2017, just curious to know if your work history section in citizenship application has to be exactly the same with what you filled in your PR application? Thank you for your reply (in advance)

I forgot to mention an employment which I do as extra curricular and do as and when required. What is the correct procedure to rectify this mistake and add in my existing application? How bad it could be will it fall under Missrepresentation?

I'd have to disagree with you....yes we are humans and prone to making mistakes....however as the user has stated, when applying for such an important thing as Citizenship, then you need to be ensuring you've made '0' mistakes and checking it 10 times! I mean how can you forget?!

I think you've basically said it....yes they'll make mistakes and that's life....however we need to give them 'zero' chances to pull any application based on 'our' mistakes.
