P.S. Considering all the options in hand, I booked IELTS again for one final last attempt for June 04, 2016. I choose IELTS over PTE Academics because it will be useful in both the countries - Canada and Australia while the target I have in mind is to get 7 or 7+ bands in each of the section.
Hello Guys,
Once I have been the regular person to post in this forum but because of my last IELTS result (gave on October 8th, 2015), I have been very much in fallen state. Reason because just of less 0.5 marks in Writing section, the whole thing got devastated.
My score was -
Overall - 7.5 bands,
Listening - 8.5 bands,
Reading and Speaking - 7.5 bands each
Writing - 6.5 bands (the major culprit).
I even submitted the scores for re-valuation for writing section BUT got no change.
Just because of this 0.5 less score, I loose a straight 53 points in overall points scoring for Canada Immigration.
I am standing currently at 407 points while with 7 bands in each, I will be at 462 points.

Not only this, but I even consider opting for other country Australia also, but again because of this 0.5 less points, I am not able to my place there too in the pool.
My current total there is 55 points while to get a call from Australian Immigration department, the cut off is 60 points.
Now, what to do??? I am hugely depressed because of this foolishness of both these governments who like to rate us through IELTS while our major experience ("skills") in actual not value to them.
I am thinking again to give IELTS once more (my third try this time) but again I am wondering that whether I will make it or not with a score of 7 bands each in all sections.
1st IELTS - given in July 2015 - overall score 6.5 bands with 5.5 bands in Writing, 8 bands in Listening, 6.5 bands each in Writing and Speaking.
2nd IELTS - given in October 2015 - overall score 7.5 bands with 6.5 bands in Writing, 8.5 in Listening, 7 bands each in Writing and Speaking.
Now the 3rd try?????? Tired of this. Plus putting on money on the test.
Well help me please to get out of this nuisance. Guide me please on how I can score 7 overall. I am planning to go for British Council again (my both first and second IELTS from their only).
Any support will be appreciated.
Thanks
K
