Memorial University of newfoundland vs Uni of Alberta vs Uni of Calgary

I am a mechanical engineer currently working with an oil & gas multinational. I have secured addmission in MEng-Oil & Gas in memorial uni. with specific research in mechanical integrity of pipelines (main focus on off-shore). I am also planing to look for uni of Alberta and uni of Calgary. I need advice on comparision of this course of mun with the other two unis. Please share your opinions and experiances . . .

Loolo is right. You'd be fine. If your focus is offshore then you are good with Memorial University. Even after graduation you change your mind, then you can move to AB and try to find a job... you will eventually get one. Good luck.

Hi guys, i have done B.E from Pakistan in petroleum and natural gas engineering. i am planning to do M.Eng from canada. i also submitted application fees (100 $) in University of Alberta and University of Regina, my GPA is 2.97 and %age is 67.46.
Please give me some more options for applying, i dont want to get refuse from the university, for that purpose i am applying in many universities, please give me suitable suggestion. my area of specialization would be chemical engineering and mechanical engineering.

Also tell me the place from where i found the ranking of universities in ENGINEERING disciplines
My friend also tell me about memorial university.. please tell me about the weather conditions.

and which one is better meng course based or thesis based - job and pr point to view..should do mengg of 1 yr or 2 yr
