Hello,

If a FSW application is filed at a visa office (i.e London) and when you are asked to submit medicals can you do your medical exams in a different country? USA or Mexico for example? or you are specifically asked to submit your medicals at a designated doctor from the country that is handling your FSW application?
Has anyone been in a similar situation ? Can you please share.

Thanks !

You can do it another country as well, if you are not living in your home country or the country of your VO

Do it anywhere in the world and tell your doctor to send the results to London office as written on the form. And pay for the courier for London.
Hope this helps

But make sure the doctor is designated by CIC...Follow this link:

THANKS a lot to everyone for their answers!

I thought the VO office in which you applied directed you to a doctor specifically in the country you applied. So as long as the doctor is authorized by CIC and it's on the list of medical offices provided by CIC you can do this anywhere in the world ? In that case you would just ask the doctor to forward the results to the visa office in which you are applying?

Thanks again!

Designated physicians have instructions on what to do with your medical results. In no way are they to give them to you, they send them directly to the Ottawa office, not the VO.

I understand that by no means Medicals would be given to the applicant but do they really go to Ottawa? I thought they were forwarded to the applicant's VO?

Those instructions would be given to the doctor. Health board is in Ottawa.

It is also worth noting that applicants will have to go to the same DMP should medicals be furthered.
