Medicals under review for months.

Same here. I had a surgery 6 years ago. Declared everything and submitted docs to my DMP and medicals for me and dependant were sent Dec. 29, 2013.

Last week, i emailed Ottawa and they replied after 2 days that there is an ongoing review with my medical which i kind of expected too but i do not know if that previous surgery was CIC's concern so i also went to my MP. CIC replied with the same info. MP said to give another month and will call CIC again if i haven't heard anything.

I emailed CIC again last friday asking if i need to get more tests and they replied by saying the medical office will let me know should they need more info or i need to have more tests and that no further action is required from me as of now.

But still, my stubbornness is dominant so i'll give my doctor a visit tomorrow and see if i could find out more or anything of what else could CIC have found in my medicals that made it on their "review list".

Total of 6 weeks now after medicals were sent. I don't know how much longer for PPR. Another month? Two more months? Who knows?!!! The wait is depressing.

Have you tried sending inquiry to ottawa RMO via fax? Do you think it's a good idea though? I may fax them this noon.

So i did fax the RMO just now. Don't know if it'll do any good but i had to try especially after going to my doctor and found out everything was normal with my meds. I hope they'll look into my file, send me a response or luckily, clear my meds.

I was in a similar situation with regards to Medicals. CIC approved doctor asked me to undergo (which I wont disclose) 3 tests to specialist. The specialist took 4 weeks for final results. So my medicals got stretched over more 3 months. In the end, everything was normal & CIC cleared my medicals. So guys, be patient, if you have disclosed everything to the doctor, they will clear it. Also, its just the time frame the the botherance...

I had a surgery 7 yrs back for a non-cancerous tumor (I have report from the hospital saying that it was a non-cancerous tumor).Though, after that I never had any other complaints nor any side effects.There are no visible features also which would suggest I had a surgery. Also, I have a cyst just above my neck since the last 5 years.

My question is should I disclose about my surgery during my medicals?? Does a cyst lead to rejection?? Please suggest.

And this time they mentioned the issue on my medical!!! It was the surgery i had and the officer said it is being reviewed by the doctors to see if it will pose a problem. Also mentioned that docs will contact me if they need more info.

You should disclose ALL previous and present conditions.

I hope you won't mind but what kind of surgery did you have?
I had also an appendectomy surgery 9 years ago and a vocal cyst surgery 5 years ago. I disclosed everything during my medical last Feb. 5, 2014.
Now, Im worried this might cause review as well.

I had a benign mass removed. I gave every document i have pertaining to my surgery to my DMP but even after everything was normal, CIC put my file under review.

I cannot say if it could also happen to you though there's a good chance they will review yours because of your history but i'm really hoping it won't, 'cause the wait is stressful. I guess there is nothing we can do now but wait and see and if they do ask you to take additional tests, just do it right away and give them everything they need and have to know. Most of all, be patient but for now, try to relax.
