Hi everyone,
Please add me to the list (if it is still being maintained).

This is a great thread, and kudos to the maintainers and contributors. The quote from member MONEY giving the full text of his PPR was very helpful. I wonder if any member from Pakistan who has received the two step PPR that CIC has prepared for Pakistani applicants (as we apparently cant legally send our passports by courier to CHC London), would like to share the details of the PPR (Step 1, or Step 2, or both).

For Nadeem, I would respectfully disagree with the above response to his query. I am an applicant from Pakistan and it took me over 6 months from my In Process Date to get my Medical Request/RPRF.

I expect it will take another 3 to 6 months for my PPR.

Please add me to the list too. I'm from Pakistan and I applied in October 2008. Docs sent in may 2009, IELTS sent in Dec 2009, and Meds received in May 2011, sent back on June 09 2011. I'm waiting for PPR 1 now.

Enquiry response from CHC : your case is waiting for results of background checks.
Another enquiry after a month (in april) and response was : your background checks have completed and case is waiting for review by a VO.
After another month (in may) they replied that VO has determined that further background checks are needed and that case will proceed after results of these checks are received.

I asked how long these checks will take as my meds will expire in nov 2011.
The painful reply was:
It is highly unlikely that the results of these checks will be received before medical expiry and you and your family may need to redo medicals after these checks are complete.

I have never been outside Pakistan. No criminal record. No government jobs. No political affiliation. Single teaching job after completion of studies.

Any idea what's happening to my case ?

I can understand your condition as I am going through more or less the same situation.I have also done my meds in Oct 2010 and still waiting for PPR.I am getting the same response from London that my file is waiting for a review from many months.But I was subjected to a med furtherance test which was submitted only in Dec 2010,moreover I have lived in 4 countries since age of 18.Both these factors could delay my case.But seeing your details,yours case seems very straight ,I would recommend you to order your CAIPS/GCMS notes ASAP ,I hope they will reveal more details and any doubts casted by your VO.

Would you like to disclose what was the last reply which you received from London when did you receive it?

Keep faith and patience,really its very painful to wait but we have no other option .You are very near to your visa......only a little more patience.

I am from Pakistan, based in Saudia. I received my Medicals and RPRF requests on May 1, 2011, Done on May 22, 2011 and RPRF sent on May 26, 2011. I would like to know, will e-case status has to change to "medical received" or this has to remain "in process" at this stage.

Nadeem, while ur case is in process it has two stages.. one is simple received by visa office .. second is where they say that we started processing ur file on ________ (date). Once that date is there... it takes around 15 days - 1 month to receive medical... Secondly Since CHC changed rules last year so there were a lot of applications... so to me it seems normal delay... however ... Please check the letter u got when u received the second file number ... In many cases it is stated as 8 months ... but CHC keeps changing it with the flow of applications... so if u are already past the mentioned timeline .. .send them an enquiry ..... also ecase status will not show medical request sent ... as i said .. the moment it says we started processing your file on ________________-- date .. u r about to receive your medical ...

Thank you so Much Dream heart.... when I just Log in to My status now it shows IN PROCESS but inside the statements are same as before. like we got ur documents on etc date we already send ur documents to london office in MAy etc and London Visa office May contact you.. my e-status change just some days back.

Hi Nadeem,
its not necessarily happens, that we receive the MR immediately after the E case turns into in-process (Though it happens in many cases). My E case turned to in-process in June 2nd 2010 and in August 2010 i was given an answer to my query that, an interview is requested on my case and they are waiting for the slot in Abu Dhabi for my interview. And after all that i got my MR in Mar 2011.
So in-Process merely means that your PSDEC has passed and they are processing your case.
A case specific inquiry after the date line appears after in-process, will help you to better understand your case status.

PS: just in between: we can not assume any uniformity of the case processing as each case is much different in nature and is treated accordingly

Those who filed the case in 2007 and waiting for PPR, please bear in mind that there may be a Quality Assurance interview before they issue a visa. This is what happened to me and to others whose papers were processed in Ottowa. I have called for interview as I was waiting to hear for PPR. They requested for photos, passport, landing fee, academic documents and all original documents including bank statement. If the interview goes well, then they will issue visa may be on the same day. Many people are facing the same situation like me in London office. Hope this information helps. So please be prepared to face the unexpected circumstances. I honestly hope none of you face similar situation.

Brethren .. it will take time ... people/consultant websites say 6-8 months .. but it takes minimum 1.5 year - 2 years for any case .. so be patient ... concentrate on ur current jobs and situations .. take this when it comes .. inshallah it will
