I can see from your timelines that your PPs were submitted two months back to London but still you have not received your Visas, Any ideas for the delay?Please share if its not personal.

Hi, the reason for the delay as per CHC is some of my background checks are remaining. And its an error from there side.

I have been waiting for my PPR for 9 months now, only 15 weeks before my medicals expire and still waiting for a reply regarding why the delay. I hope to get some answers soon.

I guess we all need to be patient! that is what I am getting out of this whole process.

Thanks for the info bro.Would you mind disclosing that did you visit any country after your docs submission to CIC ,as I read at another forum about an applicant who visited Europe for 3 weeks after docs submission so his passport was held by London for sometime .Is this the case with you as well ,I am asking as I also visited Italy after my docs submission but just before medicals so fear that my PP could be also held by London.
Your advice will be highly appreciated.

Hi, hopefully, ur PPs will be in Kuwait by 20th April, and mean time, you can keep a follow up with ARAMEX after the 2nd week of April.

So this might be the reason of the delay.
I hope same not happens with you. But still prepare your mind for any possibility.

CONGRATS for getting the PPR.

rgd ur PP back- plzz check ur ecase , whn u see "Decision MAde" it means ur PP is stamped. from tht day after 2-3 days u can check with Aramex. Ur PP wil come to CHC Abudhabi via internal courier and from there it wil be handed over to Aramex for delivery.

Mine and my family's passports reached CHC London on March 21 and we are still waiting to receive them back...as I said earlier, e-cas does not show my status at all. Any idea how we can get some information on when we can expect our passports back? I live in Kuwait and read somewhere on this forum that all passports are sent to Abu Dhabi before being distributed via Aramex. Could we call Aramex and check if there is something comin' our way? :'( This uncertainty is killling.....

Could any1 will suggest me how long it will take more to get me ppr, as when i asked chc london back on 22 feb 11 regarding my case they told me currently they r waiting for my b/g result, again i asked them on 22 mar 11 they ask for fresh pcc and b/g dec form 1, which hav submitted to chc london on 5th of apr now how will it take to finalize my case????????? plz advice from seniors...................

As I have mentioned earlier, my e-cas does not show any status - this has been the situation since last August. And, when we checked with Aramex they said it is not necessary that it should come thru' them and also that whenever it is couriered by the London office, it will be delivered directly to us in Kuwait. I only hope we get it soon b'cos I have to travel overseas for official purposes.

I sent medical on 11 Jan 2011 London VO. Received forms-application form, dependent forms, PCC and Right of landing fee on 11/2/11 and sent back forms on 12/3/11.

On my case enquiry on 3/4/11 got reply "File awaiting officer Review. You will be informed if more information is required."

Could you please comment what this means in light of when they may issue PPR. What is the stage of the application? Ecas shows "in process" since July 2009.


Seniors please reply. I am interested to know what they mean by "File awaiting Officer Review". Does it mean that background checks are complete? Are medicals OK or may need furtherance. When can I expect PPR?, The ecase does not show "Medical Received,

now as my issue is getting bad and almost there is no time to hope that i might get the visa , i thought about something but i dont know if it is possible or not and i need your assistance if possible i was thinking of applying for a visit visa to canada and go and stay till my application get completed , what do you think ? is this allowed but what i need to know would they issue a visit visa while having my case pocessed for immigration ?? the other thing if i get the visa how long i am eligible to saty in canada with this visit visa ? the other thing if iam in canada and i received the approval from canadaian high commission on my case for immigration and they requested my passports for visa stamping can i send it from canada ? and what should i do then should i leave canada and re enter with the new visa or what ?? what if my medical expired cani redo it again in canada ???? i dont know can you assist me in clarifying these thoughts

Bro would you like to disclose are you a bachelor,as I have seen some other applicants getting fresh PCC request and all of them were bachelors.

If they have asked for PCC, it's a good sign which means security checks are on and they are on your case at the moment, won't be long now, probably couple of more months.

You certainly can apply for visit visa at any time during the processing of your application, make sure you qualify and check all the requirement boxes before applying for visit visa as they normally don't issue TRVs that easy.

If you do get the TRV and if your receive PPR, it's normally from your country of residence to issue your with PR visas but you can probably request CHC that you are in Canada, onus will be on them to use their discretion.

If you receive medical req while in canada, you certainly can have meds done while there.
