Hey guys, can i get the medicals done even before i submit my application? And also how long does the police clearance for Canada take to get?

You can do the medicals, but that shortens the time you have to land once your application is approved. Say you do the medical in March and submit the application in May. CIC may not finish up processing it until November/December. Medicals are only good for a year, so this could be problematic.

As for PCC from Canada, I don't believe you have to request that? Could be wrong on that one though.

Thanks for the reply.I am already in Canada and i have the ITA and just want to speed up the process if possible. So isnt it wise for me to do the medicals now before i submit the application? And i was told that il need to get the Pcc too for my application..

You not only should do the medicals you must do them before you submit your application.

A Canadian PCC is not required.

I did my medicals outside of Canada and they required my letter of invitation.

If such is the case with your clinic then wait until you receive your ITA.

Medical requirements are the same for everyone. You have to do it before submitting an application, otherwise you won't even be able to submit it. You need to explain to your clinic that you need an upfront medical examination.
