Dear Members,

I have heard some CHC extend the validity period of the medicals, normaly medical validity period is one year but some of the applicant's medical validity period extended. I just wanted to find out is it possible? i saw it in the canadavisa.com web site.

Is it possible?

Yes, it happens sometimes, if one's visa comes-in close to the med expiry, the CHC graciously extends the pd of landing by 2-3 months. Not a rule of thumb, but happens occassionally.

my meds expired in june 2009, and i was not asked to do second meds. latest request from buffalo is for me to submit an unupdated fbi clearance. my caips notes indicate that my meds and those of my daughters were assessed as M1 while that of my husband was M3.
