As long as you dont have a contagious disease (TB, HIV, Heptitus etc) or any serious issue with your medical results (God Forbid)! It wont be a problem.

Dont you think they do this in Canada?

Nope! not a problem. They just look out for contagious/ really super serious diseases

In addition to the contagious disease mentioned by a-a-d smoke leaves a black scar on your chest and once the doctor handling you detects this then you may not like it very much.

Quite smoking for the period you are to go for medicals.

You can always decide to quit smoking and that too on serious grounds. Even if you're all clear in your medical, rest assure that smoking can lead to complications sooner or later.
