Hi,

I have applied for PR for Canada and i have received my medical and it has also been received by CIC.
My question is if a person has a fatty liver and high cholesterol triglycerides acid

So i thought i'd be rejected under "excessive demands on the Canadian health care system"

Can anyone confirm my thought's that i'm likely to be refused? Or give any more info?

Thank you so much for the quick reply Rawat anil,

I have applied in june 2011 or july 2011 but i not sure,

I have one more question for you.

This is 5th week since i am waiting for the reply from VISA office.

Is there a possibility that i can be rejected on medical ground.

I have read in one of the form and they have mentioned that if they need any additional test they will reply with in a month.

I am not suffering from any disease, i have done test before appearing for medical for PR.

They have only find out that i have fatty liver and High Cholesterol.

Please help with the information, as it will help me a lot Rawat anil.

If the DMP indicated any issues on her/his report to the Immigration Medical Service then Ottawa may ask for further tests. This should happen within a couple of months. If the DMP indicated you are admissible (M1,M2 or M3) then your GCMS notes will be updated appropriately and your e-CAS will eventually update to "medical results have been received". If the DMP indicated you are not admissible (M4, M5, M6) then you will receive a fairness letter explaining the basis of their determination you are medically inadmissible and offering you an opportunity to respond.

Five weeks is FAR too soon for you to be worried. In my case (I was deemed medically inadmissible) the examination was done in August 2010, a supplementary request letter was sent in October, responded to in November, and the fairness letter was sent at the end of March 2011. We responded in July 2011 and the rejection was done in December 2011.

All you can do at this point is wait - or order up your GCMS notes.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replay,

When i check my status on the cic website and it says it is in progress and when i click on In progress it says "medical results have been received". Now please let me know what actually it means like what is the actual status.

Normally this would mean that your medical results have been received and (assuming it still says in process) there is no issue with them that would require further input or make you inadmissible.

YOyo since your medical has been sent to vo and medical panel did not request for re medical.they should be conducting security check to determine your admissibility.before november ending you should be expecting your ppr provided you dont have issues with your security.

It does not appear to be a disease that presents a danger to public health, it's not communicable, and it does not appear likely to cause excessive demand on the social and medical services of Canada, so I cannot see any basis for using it as a claim that she is medically inadmissible.

CIC also orders a background check from CSIS. They will do further investigation into your background BEYOND what shows up (or does not show up) in your PCC.
