Thanks a lot Rossei. I am taking 2 photographs (45 mmx35 mm), my PPR letter, eye color and height written on a paper and passport.

Do I have to write my name and date of birth on the back of my photographs?

That's good enough. And I don't think that you are asked to write your name and DOB at the back. You can do so if it's required in front of them. FYI, I also took my employment offer and verification letters, bank statement just in case.

Check your name and other info printed on your CoPR/Visa after receiving it. They will also tell you to check it. In my case, I did not check thoroughly being excited for my wife to get immigration and my last name was spelled wrong in my CoPR. Hence, I had unnecessary delay at the border while landing. It wasn't a huge issue, the border officer corrected it by hand and as a result, I couldn't renew my SIN until I got my PR. Any hand-written correction isn't valued at Service Canada.

Out topic a little bit, is there anyone who landing in Dec 2011 and got PR card already? I landed Dec 16, 2011 but still not yet receive PR even though advice from Immigration Officer 4-6 weeks. Thanks

Yah I also didn't find any instruction to write name and DOB on the back of photo. I just want to know what others are doing. Thanks for your suggestion. It's really helpful for me. I will take extra care to check the information.

Thanks for the info. If like that, mine will be mid Feb or later Feb then. Just check CIC, it stated 37 business days....

recently I heard Pre-Assessment for OPNP is real slow, response in 90 days does not work anymore. it might be back-log somehow...

to all senior member :

1 month after my e-case shown'medical have been received ' from L.VO :-\
so that mean my security clearance is done or not yet ?
when I can expect the ppr??

please advise
Regards

I've been following this thread as a "lurker" for a few months now.

My timeline is something like this

Application received May 10th 2011
Medicals received Oct 28th 2011

I'm almost sure it used to say "We began processing your application Nov xxth" but this doesn't seem to be there any more. Not sure why. I think it happened during the "Great Update of Dec 17th" Did this happen to anyone else?

Anyway, first off, I would suggest that people who are within a year of applying and haven't received PPR yet calm down. Surely, when this process kicked off you were all expecting the year processing time.....I know I was advised of that anyway. I realise that some of you have family etc depending on you so I understand your anxiety but bothering Catherine Bailey is not going to help nor is worrying.

Secondly, I would also advise against checking your emails/forum every day. It won't speed up anything except your worries. Try just chilling out and getting on with your lives. It'll come when it comes. Trust me, I want the PPR as much if not more than everyone but just try to put things in perspective ya know.

Best of luck to everyone and congrats to everyone who received PPR so far.

Hi Everyone
I have been following this forum for the last couple of weeks, found it hugely informative thanks.
Here is my timeline hope it is of help to someone:-
AINP
BEEN HERE 4 1/2 YEARS ON A WORK PERMIT FROM THE UK
NOC 7251
FILE RECIEVED BUFFALO- JUNE 22 2011
AOR/MR REQ- SEPT 19 2011
MEDICALS SENT- OCT 20 2012
ECAS SHOWS 2 LINES TO DATE- APLLICATION RECIEVED\MEDICALS RECIEVED( DID NOT START CHECKING UNTIL JAN 2012)
EMAILED BUFALLO JAN 9 2012 FOR AN UPDATE. JAN 10 2012 RECIEVED REPLY THAT MY CASE IS "IN PROCESS"
FINGERPRINT POLICE CHECK REQ -JAN 23 2012. SENT ELECTRONICALLY TO RCMP(OTTAWA) JAN 24 2012.

Hopefully the police check should arrive in BUFFALO within a week, I have a common name must have been flagged. I wish they had checked earlier
is there anyone with a similar experience? Any ideas on how much this will delay my case?
I hope that this is the final stage before PPR!

The only way you know for sure is to order GCMS, which is free and takes about one month to get. GCMS will show you everything VO has done on your case.

Hi Iamee,

I had a similar story so i thought i might reply that could help you to understand the timelline (whic is a mystery anyways), but it might not be same in your case.I got finger prints requested early Sep and I think they got it withing week and half and right after i got the med reuquest and I did my med's end of Sep and CIC received it on oct 24th

I sent my file on Apr 6

I do see two line in my ecas:

your file has been recieved Apr 11, 2011
Your medical result has been recieved (which got updated on oct 24th)

I havn't heard anything after that, i did send the email somerwhere in Dec and got the standard reply.

So I am still playing the wait game....but i am sick of it :( :(

Hi Rkaur
Thanks for your timeline, yes its a waiting game lots of variables involved. Alot of people who applied after July 2011 to Buffalo got transferred to Ottawa-PPr 3- 4 months. This should mean that Buffalo has a reduced load, there is lots to be positive about.

@Rkaur
i am on same boat . my file was received on 11 April and second line shows medical received ....i sent them email last week for status update , i received same standard reply----lets see how much we have to wait---may be end of feb or start of march

best of luck everyone who is waiting
