medical results have been received

Hi guys

Here is my ecas status

Permanent Residence
1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 18, 2013.

2. Medical results have been received.

Also i received a letter after 32 days of the application received by CPC-M on 20th Dec that my application is approved and my file will be transfered to Visa Office.

I have being checking the last two weeks to get an update on ecas whether my family is transferred to the VO , all i see is that medical results have being received.

So who is exactly dealing in this stage with the Medicals is it Missassague or this is the Visa Officer overseas?

Normally am i supposed to receive a notification or an update on ECAS that the File is received by the Visa Officer?

Hi dude your medical have been received by your vosa office. You might receive a message from your VO but its depends on each visa office procedure. Anyway you might want to post this message to your visa office thread. People who when thru this process before you might guide you well.

You appear to be mixing 2 different matters, messages to the sponsor and messages to the principal applicant. You cannot be both. The message received from Mississauga must have been addressed to the sponsor and means that the sponsor's application to sponsor was approved and that the application file of the applicant for permanent residency had been transferred to the Visa Office in Nairobi. Assuming that the medical was of the new kind, the results would have been sent by the medical examiner electronically to Ottawa from where they would have been accessed electronically by the Visa Office in Nairobi. Nairobi then sent a message to the applicant for permanent residency stating that the application for permanent residency and the medical results had been received (in Nairobi) The application means the application by the principal applicant on behalf of himself or herself and all the dependants who are applying to immigrate to Canada. The next message on Ecas will probably be that Nairobi has started processing the application. After that there will be a long wait while they get on with the job. I can see nothing abnormal in the entries so far made on Ecas once they have been disentangled as above.
