Hi everyone. I hope someone's able to answer my concern. Regarding on medical, my right eye is artificial and cant see nothing. But on my left eye is still on a 20/20 vision which is still very good. My concern is, is it a problem or does it prevent me from having my permanent resident visa?

Are you being sponsored by family? If you are a spouse, this will not be an issue. I doubt it would be considered excessive for any other PR applications.

Yes my wife is sponsoring me as a permanent resident. So does that mean that even if it is considered as an excessive demand it is not a problem because of the exemption for excessive demand that the person being sponsored(me) is unfer the family class who is to be my wife's sponsoring me.

Spouses are exempted from the excessive demand clause. The only thing you have to worry about is public safety - but there is no way in my mind this is a public health risk.

Quite honestly, I doubt it's an excessive demand at all. I imagine it's contained and doesn't require a lot of treatment. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I am confident that i dont have any health conditions that could risk public health and public safety of canada. Because risk to public health are the diseases that are contagious and risk to public safety are those behaviour and mental disorders. Being in one eyed artificial doesnt do anything about public health and safety because it is not contagious and not a condition that could risk public safety. And I dont think it considered as a excessive demand because I dont have any treatment or medications in my artificial eye.

I agree. You have nothing to worry about Your condition in no way poses public health risks or excessive demands. I'm sure the panel physician will agree, as would IRCC doctors.

Good luck

I asked the panel physician during my medical if my artificial eye could be a problem from having my permanent resident visa and she said that it is not a problem. But even though she said that its not a problem, i still cant stop thinking that maybe the IRCC doctors could turn down my application. Thats why I am still concern.but hopefully not.

I also a question about the medical exam:
I had my check up on April 10th, got everything done in one day, however, I forget to bring my IMM 1017 E to the doctor, they have never aksed for it, the doctor also used e Medical. I have no clue if the doctor even sent out the results. My questions is, How important is the IMM 1017?
