I do not totally agree with the diagnosis as MRI scan only gave a report without evidence of scan picture. It was a referral to a nephrologist who sent us to the scan centre...a new facility looking for work.
Would seek out another nephrologist and radiologist to get a firm diagnosis because it will influence the PFL. Unfortunately due to covid I am not sure if that will be possible.

Hi

my father went through the medical exam.. He had a stent in 2000. Now he is 65. He explained to the doctor about this and he started ECG, which was fine. After that he started ECHO which was also fine. Then he started TMT IN which my father was forced to run at a very high speed. Then the doctor said that there is little problem at high speed .I suggest for angiography and put in the report that positive for inductively ischaemia. We are confused about this. What to do because these private doctors are so greedy and want to make more and more money and can damage to anyone’s life.
Pls suggest that this can be a reason of Medical inadmissiabilty?

Is your father coming here as a temporary resident(visit/supervisa) or through sponsorship?

Hello everyone. I was studying in Canada as an international student last January 2019 but unfortunately diagnosed with stage 3 triple positive breast cancer last November 2019. I only have 1.5 semesters left prior to graduation. I went back to my home country December 2019 to have surgery. I was advised by my oncologist to do chemotherapy, radiation, anti-HER2 shots and tamoxifen for 5 years but I turned down that treatment plan and opted for naturopathy. I'm just taking herbal supplements which cost me just 30CAD per month. I am now almost 1 year in remission now. SHOULD I COME BACK TO CANADA ON STUDY VISA AGAIN AND FINISH THE REMAINING 1.5 SEM THEN APPLY FOR PR? Will this be a medical inadmissibility if I plan on applying for PR? I hope you can help me. Thanks!

Have you actually confirmed with an oncologist through a PET scan that you are in remission? Whether you come back to Canada to continue your studies is a personal choice. Is your study permit still valid? Depending on the province you may need to provide another medical and show that your cancer is in remission. It is impossible to determine where your health will be for PR many years from now. If the cancer has been returned it could lead to medical inadmissability.

Thank you for your reply. I just had my CT scan cleared because PET scan is not easily available in our country. My study permit has expired last July 2020. I need to reapply for a new study permit. I'm thinking of coming back to Canada to finish my studies for the sake of applying for PR. I'm 30 years old and every year 5 points will be deducted if I'm still well and in remission. Assuming all is well and I'm still in remission and able to come back to finish my studies, if I apply for PR after graduating and assuming less than 2 years in remission, do you think I won't be given PR because of medical inadmissibility? Your reply is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Be aware that you likely don’t qualify for a PRTD because you didn’t study full-time continuously. You can include proof of your medical situation but you should know that doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get PR. If you don’t get PRTD do you have a path to get PR? Too hard to say whether medical inadmissability will be an issue so far in the future.

What's PRTD? I was an international student when I was diagnosed with cancer. My study permit got expired last July 2020. I'm planning to come back to Canada and reapply for study permit again to finish the remaining 1.5 semesters then apply for PGWP then PR.

You'll want to start a brand new program to qualify for a PGWP. Since you took a break in your studies, IRCC will most likely say your studies weren't continuous and for this reason you don't qualify for a PGWP. Safest option would be to start a new program.

@sbdiuo - you are very welcome. I will keep this thread posted with future updates/ new findings, if any.

One small request forum members-
Please share your application progress regarding medicals here (case details if you are ok with sharing, medicals passed/ additional review requested, cleared medicals with review from specialist..etc.), so that it would help everyone else regarding the new rules in place (for excessive demand revisions).

All the best once again everyone.

Hi everyone, does anyone know what is the maximum number of letters that can be printed on the Ontario Health Card. What happens if the name is longer? Is there any character limit. My son's full name has about 25 characters including spacing. Thanks

Hi everyone, my husband is planning to study in Vancouver but he has CML (diagnosed in 2010) and taking generic gleevec for 8-9 years now. Will this be a cause for medical inadmissibility?
