Medical exam request

Hello everyone. First time posting here.

I'm sponsoring my wife and we applied back in May of this year. We got the AOR in September. We just got an email last week that mentions paying fees and a medical exam.

However on her account it shows she passed medical already... Did they somehow use her medical exam from when she came to Canada in 2019 on an open work permit? I did read something about a temporary program where they can use previous exams from the past 5 years.

We are confused whether she needs an exam or not... What does the medical exam request actually look like?

Thanks!

Same question here,

Applied in May 2021, Got an email on Nov 2nd about paying fee (pretty sure paid RPRF) and medical.

In my account, shows medical passed, and using an online tool it shows medical received... I also uploaded medical back in 2019, but no others after that.

Confusing here......

Thanks for the response! However I can't read French very well! . Is this the one where they use previous medical exam as a pass for the PR application??

Why do they have to make everything so confusing. We don't mind paying for another medical exam if we need to but how would we even know?

If required to do a medical examination, you'll get letters - one for each person on the application (i.e. principal applicant and dependents) - titled clearly Medical Examination Instructions.

Until you get this, stop thinking about it - there's nothing you can do while waiting.

If asked to pay for something, pay it - sometimes they have asked applicants to pay the fees eg for biometrics erroneously, but then they refund it (when/if error discovered). You'll just waste time trying to find someone in IRCC who will check to see if the invoice was in error.

NOTE: medical fees are paid directly to the clinic/panel physician's office anyway, not IRCC. If you don't get an invoice from IRCC, don't worry about it.
