Hey, everyone.

I've received my ITA this month and while I was getting ready to submit all the documents, I tried to schedule the doctor appointment for the medical exam, but they told me since december 2016 you cannot get an upfront anymore. The doctor's office required a "council code"in order to schedule the appointment. I really don't understand what they meant by that. Still, in the EE screen, there's a field to upload the documents. What should I do?

Depends on your location. They do upfront in the UK for EE candidates.

It's medical for ee applicants.

There's no upfront for spousal sponsorship.

Your drs has read the new information incorrectly. Tell them that ee applicants HAVE TO HAVE AN UPFRONT. if they refuse, find another dr.

Thank you for the answers, guys. Unfortunately, I just called the doctor office in another city and they gave the same information. (I'm in Brazil)

They said that the council will send an e-mail with a number that I will have to provide to the doctor. Without it, even though we got an ITA we cannot schedule the appointment. I'll try to talk to the council asap to get more info about this.

These are the requirements for ee

These are the changes from December for spousal sponsorship only.

They have to give you the upfront medical or you can't apply. Keep pushing. Else you may have to go do the medical in another country.
