I just called a panel physician to make medical exam appointments for our family. For us and our 3 children it is going to be $1,000!!! This is a rather nasty surprise!. Is there no way to get re-imbursed for this or helped out with the cost? Does it make a difference if we are already living and working in Canada?
I'm pretty sure kids have to have the exam too...right? Man, a big shocker!

Unfortunately that is the price you have to pay.
I paid $800 CAD for me and my wife from Canada.

I don't think there are any reimbursements for medical test costs.
However, the cost may be significantly lower if you do it from your home country.

Not sure which country, but in my country it used to be the same as in Canada. Then they closed it, now we have to go to another country with round trip cost of $300 at least per person on top of $1000! So, be glad that you don't at least have to travel to another country.

There is no reimbursement or help with the cost. It doesn't make a difference that you are already living and working in Canada.
