Hey all.

So a couple of weeks ago we went for a medical exam and they found something on the chest xray. We are still not finished with the follow up medical figuring out what exactly it is. The initial doctor gave me a proof of exam sheet, but kept all of the other papers and made some comment like "we won't send these until we find out from the specialist what exactly is wrong because they're going to request that you do follow up exams anyways so it's better to do it all now and then send all the information at once" Am I properly understanding that the doctors office is mailing the medical results directly to CIC? If this is right, can I send my application in even though we aren't finished with the medical follow up and they'll just get the medical files once we are all done and have a diagnosis? Everything else in our application is ready or will be tomorrow. And if I can go ahead and send it in, do I send a copy of the proof of medical exam, or the original and keep a copy myself?

The medicals go directly to the CIC. I received a bill for services only. So send your paperwork.

No, actually the medicals go to the Immigration REgional Medical Centre, where they are reviewed and the results are then forwarded electronically to CIC.

hi there, It is best if you could submit a complete application package, otherwise there a risk that it will be returned on the ground of lack of medical document. On the other hand, assuming that you still file your application sans medical document and they acknowledged receipt of the same, that would somehow cause delay on your part, and for sure you would not want that to happen.

As to what copy is to be included in your application; you should submit the original proof of medical exam ,the one issued by the medical facility.God Bless on your application
