My wife (who's Canadian) is sponsoring me under the Family Class for Permanent Residency, but I'm slightly confused about when to have the medical done.

I called Number One Health in London (an Immigration Canada DMP)and they said they could only carry out the medical once my application had been sent in >:(...BUT the Canada Immigration website tells me that I need to send proof of my medical exam to Mississauga with the application pack...anyone else had the same problem ? Any advice would be welcome !

thats odd, i went to get my medical done and then send the medical Receipt with the application.

not sure why they would say that.

Get it done and send the proof with your application.
Choose another DMP.

I received some advice to schedule the medical exam on the day or very close to the day you plan to mail off the application. The exam results (like so much else in the application packet) are time sensitive.

Medical = 1 year.

that is really odd because when you go for medical for sponsorship then you have to take appendix C with you. I will suggest you to call them again and book an appointment with them let them know that it is a requirement of sponsorship application package. If still they do not understand go in person and take this with you (pdf. 3901e United Kingdom ):

I hope it helps

good luck !

Then you should call a different DMP and schedule to get a Med done :) '

Sometime the receptionists don't know anything or what they say to patients. It's such a blonde thing (no offense to blondes)

Just ignore the trolls. This forum is crowded with them. :)
I gave you a positive now, but really, you shouldn't worry about that "karma" system, it's only a troll feeder.

ha ha ha .... I couldn't be bothered any less.

And thanks :)

Many thanks for all the advice...called a different DMP in London, no problem making an appointment, correctly advised me to bring a completed "Appendix C" form..and best of all about £50 cheaper than the other place.

Since I'm blond I slipped you a POSITIVE!!

After all, if we can't take a joke, what the heck can we do??

(here's a good one for ya, a riddle no less. Why do blonde girls have bruises around the navel??)

(Answer will ONLY be sent in a PM...)
