medical exam

HI friends....
I'm indonesian and married to a canadian man, and right now we about to processing the canadian visa under family sponsorship.
my husband is in canada and I'm still in indonesia, I send all my document already to my husband and he went to a consultant asking if all the document are completed, and they said we need my medical exam, but when I call the designated hospital to make an appoitment for my medical they said they need the case number can be UCI,ICU or EME number which is I din't have it yet, from the hospital said they can not do my medical exam if I don't have those case number, so me and my husband bit confuse,because the consultant said we can't send the application to get the case number incase we have my medical exam already and the hospital can not do my medical exam incase I have the case number.
is there anyone have the same problem and what should I do?? :-\

Normally people go for medical exam before filing application, but you can do later too when your file get transferred to local visa office.You can apply without medical but it can increase the duration of your case processing.

that's what I'm afraid of, if that gonna make the process take more longer I rather have my medical first but the hospital coundn't take me in before I have the case number.
I don't want to send my document if thaey will send it back again and also take a long time for them to send it back to us.
if there any way to find out what is the correct procedure.

I think you should seek advice from other applicants of your country. Post your query in http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/singapore-timeline-t28993.0.html you will definitely get appropriate answer.

find another qualified doctor in your area and talk to him...he/she might do it without the case no.

Hello, I'm doing the same like you. Now they are using online system. They need some covering letter from CIC or embassy.
So better to wait i think...

didilee - for Family Class you need to do the med exam up-front. CIC is returning as incomplete the applications that don't have IMM 1017.

When you call the medical centre you need to tell them you are applying under Family Class and you need the exam done up-front.

I already told them Betina, but they told me that i need a cover letter and list of health check should be performed from embassy.
I called the embassy but no respond till now. im already frustrated with this condition honestly. I dont know what to do.

They might have had little experience with anything other than Economic Class, that's why you have to insist on clearing things up. The requirements are different for Economic and Family Class.

Maybe you should try contacting another qualified doctor - you can do the exam at any qualified doctor, no matter the country.

Just don't send the application without the medical report, it will be returned - it already happened to some people.
